Well time to try Spyderco

I've carried a Sage I for years and years. I use it for anything that needs cut. I prefer a liner lock over any other kind simply because I can be holding something that needs cut in my left hand and pull the Sage I out with my right hand, open it, make the cut and then close it and return it to my pocket with the same right hand.
I have a Sage II in Ti for those dressy times. :)
I will admit, the Gayle Bradley 2 has been turning my head.

Well it’s time to try Spyderco as an addition to my EDC rotation. I haven’t had one in my rotation for years and so not sure how some of the newer or revamped models carry so I thought I would ask the BF community. I’m not to hung up on dimensions but really don’t want anything with over a 3.5” blade simply due to comfort. Pricing let’s say $200 or less. I prefer G10 handles or CF but the lightweight isn’t a strong NO. Oh and before ya ask I’m not a PM2 fan, to bulky for me

So what are your 3 top Spyderco EDC models and why?

Thanks
Top pick if you like CF, like compression lock, but find the PM2 too bulky has to be the Kapara. Slimmer in every way to the PM2 and you get a thinner grind, thinner handles, less tall in the pocket.

Second would probably be the Gayle Bradley 2. I dont have one myself but a hollow ground M4 that is already fairly thin stock is going to cut pretty great.

Lastly I guess you could look at the Ikuchi. Not really my cup of tea but it hits a lot of the marks that you are looking for if the PM2 is too bulky.

Personally I love the manix 2, PM2, Shaman but those are all probably too big if the PM2 is too bulky for your tastes.

The Military is my favorite. It seems at first glance to be to large, and is for certain situations. However the only way to appreciate it’s greatness is to slap a deep carry clip on one and carry it. If it isn’t your first choice be sure to try one at some point, you will not be disappointed. And for the record I own almost all the Spyderco knives mentioned in this thread.

The Military is simply to big. I don’t need a knife with that large a handle or blade. I am glad you like yours tho. Different strokes and all that

Love my Millie

The Delica and Endura can be had in other materials besides FRN. There is wood, titanium, and you might find some of the G10 versions around. Try the Native 5 in G10 if you don't like the FRN. I'm trying to stick to your $200 or thereabout and your size limitation. You might like the Chaparral, too. It is a smaller knife but has a large cutting edge for its size.

I really dig the lil native - it’s the perfect size for what it is. (dies that make sense?) Also line it up next to a Tuff Lite - almost identical profiles but totally different knives that both fit (my) hand perfectly. Different functions but both great tools. Let us know how you find it!
