Haha, it's not rust, it's dirt/crud. It needs a good cleaning though. The XDM got some crud on it from my back step, I think it's some rock salt.
 
Nothing like a new gun to brighten up your day! I've heard good things about the XD M's. Let us know how it shoots.

230...you've got to be the scariest MF on earth...:D Seriously, what state do you live in? If i ever see you at a bar Im warnin my friends to keep their eyes down. You're prob carrying under your clothes: a NMFBM, a 1911, a compact 1911 hybrid, multiple smaller knives, and last but not least two more guns connect to your arms. You're prob packin more than your average, every day person. As Jerry would say, NUKE ON BROTHER!!:thumbup::thumbup:
 
It's odd, in the few places i'd want to carry a gun the most (NYC, NJ, CA), I can't. I try and avoid places like that.

That's if he has an XDM with a tlr-1. I'm not going to mail a handgun out, FFL fees etc..
 
Nice choice! Love the Springfield XD lineup. I've shot my friends XD sub compact in 9mm and 4" XDM in 40 S&W. Both have been flawless. Very comfortable pistols for me and I love the 1911 grip angle. Just waiting for them to hurry up and release the XDM in 45ACP. I won't be able to resist that one.....

An amazing number of rounds, really, when you think about it.

I'm old. Learned on the older 1911s. I was also taught "old school" -- if you can't get it done with a few rounds ...:p

I still remember, very vividly, getting whacked on the pate if the first round did not center. It was one clip for 3 opponents, no excuses.

Nice piece 230 have fun with her. But I think I've got Infi disease bad I've traded away a gun for some Busse's already.
 
Nice EDC (I've had an XDM9 since 2008) and just wait until you run a few clips through it at the range. Its a very very reliable handgun. I use mine for concealed carry in Alaska, unless I'm in the woods when I EDC a S&W 500 and soon my new MOAB.
