Went to the gun store, spent money. I'm happy, new EDC!

Check out SGammo.com, cheapest prices I could find on the web for most items.

I sold my glock 32. Honestly, I like the cartridge quite a bit, packs quite a punch but ammo availability was a killer for me. I like common cartridges.

Someone say Springfield and Busse???:D

SAR-4 and TRP. American made art in form and function.

Awesome TRP.

I still want to pick up a full rail TRP operator some day, but the bull barrel turns me off.

I dont like the sights on the light railed model either. Easily remidied I guess, but the deal I got on this one, I couldnt pass up.

It's odd, in the few places i'd want to carry a gun the most (NYC, NJ, CA), I can't. I try and avoid places like that.

The reason is that CA has too many gangs. You once stated you believe every American should own a gun, but after you live here you realize that might not be the best thing considering there is a gun fight like everyday in the most expensive towns in Cali and guns are illegal to carry. Imagine if they were legal to carry. It suxxxx!!!

Here are my XDM's!!! I just added the XDM 3.8....

How do you like the 3.8? For me, the hardest part to conceal is the grip, so I went with the full size.

i go back to the old saying: "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns", i am a board member of the North Carolina Gang Investigators Association and believe me there is nothing better that a gang member enjoys than taking advantage of an unarmed victim and of course this does not just apply to gang members, but any criminal.

i may be taken advantage of, but with 30 years in law enforcement, now retired and working for the above. it will not be because i did not have a weapon on my person. i will go by, "rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6".

Eliminate the gangs, not the guns.

It doesn't seem like restrictive gun laws are stopping any criminals from owning them, just stopping people who follow the law from protecting themselves.

It may not seem like a big deal, until they ban sharp knives, then when people start killing eachother with pointy sticks, sharpened wood will be next.

That's all i'll say on the issue, this thread is about XDM awesomeness, not politics.

point well taken, 230, back on topic, great choice of weapon(s) round capacity is a big plus as well, that grip kinda reminds me of the walther .22.

going to look at some iron today...

I figured it was time to add a new gun to my EDC lineup. I generally switch up between a full size 1911, and a kahr compact for CCW. Today I went in and picked up an XDM 9mm and a new streamlight TLR-1 (I love these lights).

19+1 capacity
Adjustable backstraps for different hand sizes
Smooth trigger
Match grade barrel

I haven't shot it yet, but I love this gun. It points extremely well, I love the 1911 style grip safety and honestly its very thin for a double stack gun. I used to love the simplicity of Glocks, but the XDM to me is like a refined Glock, good accuracy, simple and reliable.

Now to find an IWB holster for it that will support the TLR-1, I think raven makes them.

I loved the full size XDM, so I figured I would love the 3.8 as well. I have not shot the 3.8 yet. But 19 + 1, how could you go wrong???

I ordered the new Laserlyte rear sight laser to use on one of these, then I have the Crimson Trace laser on the full size. I also just got the laser bore sighter, so I can easily line these up on target.

My next handgun will be either an XD tactical or an XDM in 9mm. I'll probably still carry my Wilson CQB most of the time, but I would really like to add a 9mm to the collection. I shot the Tactical at the last IDPA match I went to and was really impressed. 12"x12" steel was pretty easy to hit a ~50yards if I did my part (which I don't always do).

If they made the XDm with a 5" barrel I would probably already own one. My only concern is the reliability with the new mags. I know XD mags work but the "M"s will take a while to prove themselves. 19rds is A LOT of rounds to cram into a magazine.

It's def a great looking fun man, I love the TRPs.

Its my first 1911 and the first time I took it to the range it was like having a epiphany. I finally knew what a handgun was capable of. My last gun, though extremely reliable as well as accurate (a Magnum Research polymer baby eagle compact .40), was a crude instrument compared to this thing. Can you tell I like it? LOL.

You hit it on the head with that one.

I typed up a long response to reiterate your point but I'll just quote you for and lave it for posterity.
