Wereb... so far, so bad

I did not receive that email yet, but I'll take everybody's word... even Sam's.

If Sam had some health problems, then I truly wish him the best.

Although his business was kind of funny to begin with... I guess everyone makes mistakes.

Let's move on.

Eric.

I can't wait to hear what happened ... if it turns out I guessed right in every detail I'm planning to open a Psychic Hotline....

I agree, but it would be nice to either get my money back or the knives. I got the email from him but haven't heard anything else.

LOL Cougar!

I haven't heard anything else either Dennis. I would like this to be over and definitely want the knife. After spending this amount of time dealing with it I've already invested more of my time than I spent for the knife so the blade is the only solace. We'll see.

Since I live in Columbus, I said I would check and see if I could locate him. At this time, I can't even find the street he has listed. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There is a lot of new construction and the street listing may not be up to date. If I turn anything up, I'll let you guys know.

Use www.mapquest.com to locate the street. It is south of Ohio State Univ. Airport - south of Bethel Rd, north of Northcrest Park. The particular name is not listed on the map but it is in Mapquest database.

Wereb vacated 1971 Ramble Branch on or about Jan. 6th. The physical address is a condominium and its my understanding that he left owing several months back rent. I feel that it would be in his best interest if he returned the money that he fraudulently obtained. More to follow…

Yeah, we've got to come up with a name for our storyline and sell it to the soaps! 'As The Grinding Wheel Turns' or something of that sort!

BTW, I emailed Sam again after reading the latest to see if his email was still good and it didn't bounce back so I'm assuming it is!

Of course, maybe he has sold all his earthly belongings and will be delivering our money and blades by hand right before becoming a wanderer for 5 years penance?! Could happen.

Yeah, right!

Update... I just received my Arclite from Sam Wereb yesterday. There was no note of explanation or anything, but sure enough the knife was there. The belt clip that was supposed to come with it was not present, but the handle was cord wrapped (not expected).

I probably will never do business with Sam again, but at least he made an effort to do the right thing. Hopefully, he's healthy and now I can finally close this chapter.

Unfortunately, I have lost my desire to own this particular knife. Don't get me wrong... It is a great knife for that price, but I guess I just lost my appetite for it.

Anyways, I would like to give this knife to someone who has also had some bad luck. So, the first person to post a reply here describing how they were recently ripped off will get this knife sent to them free of charge.

Eric.

Ok I am posting. I think I am only going to end up ripped off by one of the people we talked about earlier. The R Arnold never did pay the $350 but the 2 makers said my knives would be ready soon. The dealer said he was sending the money to. It's not here but I will give it this week to show up. The $350 will never show up. So as of now I am missing the $350 and the knife I sent out for $150. Sure am glad you got your problem fixed at last.

Ed,

Sorry stuff like that has to happen. My little problem was nothing compared to yours... just principles really. I still beleive that 99% of the people here at BF are top notch!! Hope we can get rid of the rest.

Anyways, the knife is yours. Won't make up much for what has happened to you, but hopefully it'll make you feel just a little better.

Email me your info and I'll get it out in the next couple of days.

Take care - Eric.

I got both of mine in the mail today. Mine also had no note or explanation, or the belt clip. The handle on one was cordwrapped. It was really a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to get them. I am glad that he made good in the end.

Incredible turn of events... As mentioned I have not received my blade but am quite curious as to how this will turn out. I was referred to the Attorney General's Office after the Postal Service and BBB of his local chapter could not get anywhere.

Eric,
What a cool way to slam the door on some bad karma!

Glad something positive came of all this and I will update if I receive the knife I ordered.

Very interesting,
Shawn

The Arclite sheath comes ready to attach a Mini-Teklok for a belt clip, but it doesn't come with it; you have to buy that separately.

It doesn't come with cordwrap, either; he must have added that himself....

Wife had the blade in her car when she came home. I did receive as everyone else my blade with no other information included.

Thanks Sam... I'm glad you came through.

What a long strange trip it's been!!!!

Shawn

PS: Now I can go back to saying I've NEVER been ripped off dealing on the Forums at BFC!

Hey I got a knife. Really cool. Thanks Joker pretty neat. I am so happy. That knife is worth more than a $100 bill to me.
It's raining here and I still got a big smile on my ugly face.
