A little bit of leather origami ;) a request for an adapter to hold this kydex sheath, this one is fairly small so I kept it compact as well. The leather wraps around the front, then folds down to form the belt loop and continues to the back edge where it is held in place with two steel screws.

Also tied a wide diamond knot to aid in drawing the knife out

While some will stitch a line across the belt loop, I don't care to do that as I've seen enough sheaths get weakened from a straight across stitch line and end up tearing across it, probably wouldn't have happened here, but I wasn't taking chances, the belt loop folds down and is thinned down and glued, which would also hold enough for this size just by that, but, a few stitches and it's done.

Interesing handle scales, cross cut and a rubbery texture provides a very secure grip, this knife was made by David Mary David Mary and looks to be quite handy too.

Thank You Gary for the amazing job you did for me.
I designed the blade shape using the Cold Steel Tuff Lite as inspiration, and gave David Mary free reign on the handle shape.

I also gave Gary free reign on this adapter. All I did is send him the knife and the instructions to do it his way. He picked the color, stitching, style, etc.
And he did the job faster than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Gary !

I've forgotten the handle material I picked. Sure Touch maybe?

Wow!

I'm curious, what is your go to steel?
I work in two steels currently. AEB-L stainless run at 62-63RC and 26C3 high carbon thats been clay coated during heat treat. The 26C3 is run a lil harder at 63-64RC. I don't spen a lot of toime polishing the hamon, I refer to it as a working hamon. My own personal EDC here with some shrimp tacos, is 26C3, a Mestano is the model:

Got two pieces coming Dave, a Cowboy Outlaw for craft shows and demo’s where I might not have elec and a Class 26. Hoping the two will cover the big n little, thin n thick needs?

I know the Cobra 26 we talk a lil about getting one. Work perfect for the wife's bags etc. Looked up the Outlaw. Be interesting to see how that works for ya.

Yeah, I have read good and bad regarding the Outlaw but figured it would be light years ahead (hopefully), of the patcher, sewing thicker material with larger thread.
Time will tell on that one.
The ‘26 is the wife’s, she is getting set up for “retirement”.
