Whacha Been Up To......

It's done. The belt clips are a bit firm on the wearing. I can always hang it by another method if it becomes annoying. Or if moving around pushes the release button on the clip.

(Mental notes to myself. I need 3 to 4 layers of masking tape for room. I used two layers on this. It's snug but there's zero rattle. So either 3 layers of tape or thicker tape.)

How does your beveler appear so massive? I like your edge work.
Thanks! I use a #4 Osborne Western Bent Tip, beveler for most work. I've found a rounder edge will stay nice longer than a less rounded edge, particularly through hard use. this pic of these legging tops I made for a gal in OH is a good example. These can see a lot of abrasion from brush, roping etc. They still look good.

Oops! After more coffee (reflection), I realized that I did not edge that belt although I did construct it. Nichole, my wife did the edging on that belt. Its pretty common for us to split up the work on belts.

Anyhoo, she used a Ron's Tools #2 beveler on that belt. They are great bevelers but are expensive. Worth it though.

That's really nice edge work. I own several varieties of edge bevelers. I find that leaving a narrow strip in the center after beveling both sides, gives the best result when burnishing.

Just a Buck 110 sheath recently made for a fellow out in Colorado, the 110's have excellent retention due to the contours and the clip of the blade. Wet formed and hand stitched, it takes some work to get that leather down and around such a thick handled knife.

Still don't know how you punch through that many layers and keep the stitching somewhat straight on the backside. Nice work!

Nichole has been busy on a couple of prototypes that she was very happy with how it came out. She'd had made a distant relative a purse. It was stolen from the ladies car after she had it for a while. Nichole had been running through her head in the meantime how to solve some of the lining problems that she'd had and got em figured on this one to replace the stolen purse:

Second project was for a wine carrying bag for which she'd had several requests:

It too is completely lined. The flap with water buffalo and the body is with a jacquard print she found at Hobby Lobby of all places:

She padded the bottle dividers and the bottom of the bag:

She's working on a two bottle bag now and I've got a batch of knives going.

Thanks Dave, mild work in comparison to your artwork !
Those belts look like they take a bit of time to make too and the rest of the kit is excellent, of course!
A different league for sure but every league has minors and big league players, I'm in that minor category ;)

Thanks Gary but don't sell yourself short on those horizontal folder sheath you are the Maestro! Regardless of league.

Yeah thats probably the last carved belt I do for a while anyhoo as they do just take so much time. Backed off making leggings for the same reason.

A new wine bottle carrier. This one was designed for two bottles, (three can squeeze in), instead of four. Nichole likes this version so much better she's talking about not making the four bottle one anymore.
