I like the texturing on the sheath and the contrasting stitching. That little blade looks like it could be popular.i have it molded to this guy...with a 3 inch blade.

Good job on all these guys! Parallel lines as decoration can drive a guy crazy! Hard to pull off well and you did. Do have some hints to refine this one if you are interested? Here are some I am doing today. Trying to step up my game with some simple embellishments.
top two are simple back pocket sheaths.

This one shows the in progress of marking the stitch line on the show side, then drilling out and stitch grooving the other side, then the stitched product..now on to wet forming and finishing.

Hope that you're a great teacher, because I'm not a very good student! I've got an In-Law that has placed nationally and I've worked calves with him. Still can't get the hang of it. Maybe just need another perspective. If nothing else it would be fun.Next time you're passing through Tehachapi stop in. We'll get ya hooked up on that roping deal!

Recently finished this sheath for my version of what's called "the lion killer" carved a lions face on the front. I've only done a couple carving's so far but I think it came out OK.

Some really great work guys!!
It's kinda a matter of taste as some folks really like that rough roughout. But to refine it a little you can slick/glass the rough out with either gum tragacanth or some other slicking compound. Soing this will kind of compress all the wild and crazy fibers and make them more uniform. You would do this prior to putting the sheath together obviously. I use Wyo Quick Slick from Barry King Tools when I do this. But really its a matter of tasteHere are some I am doing today. Trying to step up my game with some simple embellishments.

STUNNING work my friend.............
Thanks for the kind words, gents. Some really great work guys!!
What does the tang marking on the stag handled knife say? Best I can make out is maybe "American Knife Co Germany? Thanks, John
Thanks for the photos! Yes, It is the American Knife Company. There are several on Ebay, just like this knife but in bad condition. Another one of the many importers of German made knives during the 50's and 60's. JohnIt's very hard to make out in person. This pic helps:
