Very nice! Just the look I'm looking for - Do you mind sharing what brand & color gel stain you used? thanks!Did a belt pouch for a folding knife for my dad. Used some antique gel dye to give it a distressed/worn look.

Really just trying to make stuff that is as simple as possible, but also as clean as possible. Not quite hitting my ocd just yet, but it's fun experimenting in trying to get there.
Wow very cool my friend, very nice.Finished up a few projects this week…here is one of them. Ostrich leg pocket slip.

Magnificent, Dave. Just…all of it!Finished off a couple of rifle scabbards:

This one had a brand at the throat and initials at the toe and a Carlos Border stamp border:

The other just had a border stamp but it was made for a longer rifle. I don't have separate patterns for different rifles and barrel lengths I just add or subtract as needed to the center of the pattern. Works very well.

Then we were out of the shop for a while. Went up to ID for a week visiting and fishing.

Rented a side by side and went out in the boonies. Climbed from about 5,000 ft to over 10,000 in about an hour and a half.

Got back and helped a local friend here sew up a guitar strap she'd made for an order:

Her tooling is pretty darn good!

She's coming over later today for me to sew a belt up for her.
An interesting deal lately. Been making a lot of belts and somethings struck me. Several folks are ordering multiples of belts they already have. This guy likes his belt so much he ordered two more for himself just like it:

Just got another order in the shop yesterday and it's for two more exact same belts. Kinda curious. I talked to both guys and they're not gifts or anything they are for themselves. Just an interesting deal I don't recall happening before.

Also been working on a lot of what we call additional sheaths. When you order a knife from us that's on the website you can also order an additional sheath. This Cowboy came with the tooled Pancake sheath and the Horizontal sheath was ordered additionally. This knife was ordered by a rancher in MT. He told me his entire crew has a Horsewright knife. He'd carried Cowboy formally years and wanted another.

This Gordo came with the tooled Horizontal and they ordered the Pancake additionally:

Personally, I can relate to having several of the same favourite belt. I may be weird but I wear several different pants/shorts throughout a day for specific purposes and I like to have a belt on each one of them. I would only call a couple of the current belts my favourites, the rest I just make do with. I had never thought of making a few of the same favourite belt but now that you mention it I just may make up more water buffalo overlay belts like I made last winter, with your advice on the edging. It is my absolute go-to belt for comfort and looks. An interesting deal lately. Been making a lot of belts and somethings struck me. Several folks are ordering multiples of belts they already have.
