What’s your least useful knife?

CRKT M16-10ke

Pretty useless, small tanto blade and it's a CE.

I have a hand-made "combat ulu". It has really pointy ends to the curved blade and a nice stag grip that you can actually wrap your hand around (unlike "user" ulus). Kind of unique but I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I bought it. [Unfortunately, I don't own a digital camera so I can't post an image.]

Old Timer. I like it, but I just can't get it sharp. Tried sharpmaker, freehand, and mousepad/sandpaper. I still use it, but a dull knife isn't very useful.

I don’t mean to hijack the thread but I was under the impression that locking knives of any kind were illicit in the UK.

Edit to say: I don’t know if its possible to hijack my own thread.

They are illegal to carry unless you have reasonable cause. (1988 Criminal Justice Act Section 139 Possession in Public Place

It may be an offence under the Criminal Justice Act to carry a bladed or sharply pointed instrument in a public place, unless a good reason an be provided for carrying same.

Exemption: Folding pocket knife with cutting edge less than 3 inches (non-locking).

The only times I 'carry' it outside of my own property are when it's used in a Krav Maga class to demonstrate how fast a knife can be deployed when we are discussing the Tueller drill or at archery when it's used to dig out arrows that are embedded in the stand legs.

My EDC is a Spyderco UKPK.

My least useful knife has already been sold. My least used ones are the fixed blades (BM 140 and BRKT Highland) designated for camping chores, since I don't camp very often.

I thought I knew which one of my knives was the most useless but you all kept reminding me of others I seemed to have purposefully forgotten.

I need to do spring cleaning, except for that arisaka bayonet, I have had that since I was a boy "Behold I now weld Narsil...."

Kershaw Chive. Im afraid to carry it so it is pretty useless. It has opened in the pocket several times. , cutting flesh twice. Of wait, most useless is the Kershaw Alaskan Blade Trader. I got it for a gift, extremely sharp. Took it out and played with it. The blade fell out. So it sits in the drawer next to the chive being useless.

Any of my knives that are not on my person are not very useful.

And I have a lot of them, as sadly, I can't carry them all. :(

Like I stated, there is nothing banning any individual knife from private possession I am aware of.
Locking knives have no controls other than on possession in a public place.

In certain situation the law is made up as it goes along however. One does not necessarily need to appear in court to receive a warning or caution either, hence the approach is workable. Anything from a banana to a SAK can be defined as a offensive weapon, and that's a very easily applied definition.

CRKT MDP Stiff Kiss Neck Knife.

That SOB will never take an edge much less keep one; but for some reason its still laying around my desk somewhere!
