What’s the heaviest folding knife you carry?

Hmm, nowadays, Buck 112 "Slim Select". On the belt, 110 or 112 originals. Altho that Civivi "Clingman" is growing on me.

full size praetorian here. It’s slim and rides well it’s hard to described but doesn’t seem as heavy as some lighter knives

That brings up a good point. I usually have my knife clipped to right front jeans pocket or left front jeans pocket. I've noticed if I just drop a knife in my pocket I'm a lot more sensitive to the weight- in my pocket I notice the weight, clipped to my pants I don't notice it that much.

Mine’s a Grimsmo Rask at 3.125 oz. If I need more knife, it’s a fixed blade on a sheath.

I like to be able to run in whatever I’m wearing without my knife bouncing around.

I would give the 4 Max Elite a very slight edge. If I was venturing into harms way, it would always be a 5 Max.

I agree, I mean if I am honest, I only have the 5Max of the two, but I have several heavy duty 4" folders. Any of them would be fine, but the 5Max just cranks it up. Short of going into a situation where I KNOW I need a fixed blade, I would have zero doubt that monstrous folder couldn't take more of a beating than some lesser fixed blades.

I could do a lot of outdoor survival chores with a 5Max and a wooden wedge for any batonning. Then again, there are a lot of fixed blades of similar size that weigh less that I should be packing

I don't carry my Demko AD-10 nearly as much as I used to or any of my Cold Steel knives for that matter, since all the layoffs and changes after the sale of the company, so I'd have to say the heaviest folder I carry these days is the Benchmade Adamas.
