Shoot, sorry to leave you all hanging. None of the above. Over 24 hours now so I will disclose. It is a 100 grit sanding sponge.

Well technically - or at the least to my mind - it is not a lapping plate - I have coarser diamond plates for that - but I don't see how I can say no to your guess Coleman.
It is a 600 grit diamond plate, so by any other name ...
That was too easy. My next one will be more of a challenge - I hope.
