Was I wrong? I do have a "lapping plate" that is just like the one I posted but only 200 grit diamond and a bit heavier. At the least I bought it to surface old stones and it works beautifully.
Sorry Josh, I thought that you were CLOSE and said so but it ain't from Arkansa and it ain't made of stone.
I think Josh has an edge on the next one up so I did try to make nice, to assuage his disappointment.![]()
This is a more accurate color of the background then the first one. The knife has lost its brightness but in the first one, the background was too washed out.
At least, on my screen. I think these can be very difficult to guess. No, it's not a 600 grit sanding block.
