What’s Your Favorite LARGE EDC Folder? Need Suggestions for 4” Blades….

Hey all.

I enjoy carrying larger folders. I have carried a Spyderco Endura for many, many years. I just got a new knife from MIGURON that’s close to 4 inches.

I’d like to pick up other EDC folders with large blades in the range of 3.75” to 4.25”. I wouldn’t want to go bigger than that, I don’t think.

So, if you don’t mind, please suggest other large blade folders. Right now I like flippers, but thumb studs are ok too. Also, I’m talking production knives as custom stuff, while gorgeous, is just too much money for me right now.

Post pics of your large blade carry knives if you don’t care. I love seeing Knife pics!

Have a good weekend all!

Are you looking for beefy folders or just longer? If you're looking for tanks I'd suggest taking a peak at the Cold Steel SR1 and the 4-Max Scout.

edit: for something a bit different but super comfy and solid, check out the Hogue EX-04 with the 4" blade.

For some other suggestions, see: What's Your Favorite LARGE Spyderco for Daily Carry?

Spyderco doesn't make any knives w/thumbstuds but does make some w/flippers and wave tabs.

One of my favorite "large" Spyderco w/both a flipper & wave tab AND a Spydie hole is the Tropen but, if you really want something BIG (and practical to carry), you really can't do any better than a Farid K2 Folder.

I own both of them and, if you'd like to buy either of them you'll need to try to find them on the 2ndary market. Good luck!

If you can survive with just 3.5": the CRK Large Sebenza

Cold Steel Large Voyager
Cold Steel 4Max & 4Max Scout
Cold Steel Recon 1
Spyderco Police 4 (especially in K390)
Spyderco Military
And in the budget department . . . the Warspear 505 (a surprisingly good knife and excellent value).

My top four are:
ZT 0452 (slim and sexy)
Benchmade 710 (slim and iconic, but discontinued)
Cold Steel Recon 1 (most reliable lock, best value among the four)
Spyderco Military (one of the best linerlock folders)

Too many I like to place emphasis on a favorite. And too many available in todays market. I can't do it.
