What 3 knives would you get first after losing your whole knife collection?

1: spyderco PM2
2: Condor HD kukri
3: Swamprat 6

Those knives will let me do pretty much anything knife related.

1. Ritter Mini Grip
2. GEC Northfield 72 Lockback in jig bone
3. Emerson CQC-15 or Commander
I'd just make myself a new fixed blade (It's a hobby).

I have already posted my choices but I am going through everyone's list. Amazing how many people put a SAK in their list of first three knives to replace. This says much about SAKs.

SAK soldier alox multi function screwdriver awl can opener bottle opener and knife also people friendly.
Esee 3 good fixed blade small enough to carry big enough for work and I like sheath and proce is good also takes a wicked edge and easy to sharpen.
Imacasa 14 inch Daga I can chop slice, skin game takes a good edge and easily resharpened. The handle is comfortable and all three can be purchased for under 150 dollars.

Spydie Southard, Medford 187(f), Techno.

Not necessarily in that order. I almost wish I could start over, would definitely be smoother going.

1)Vic Farmer
2) ZT 550
3) Martin Knives Bushcraft Tactical
If you would consider any sharp tools not just knives my #2 would be a GB hatchet with #1 and #3 staying the same.

FFG VG10 or Super blue Endura
Farid K2 10V
Cruwear millie

Fixed blade:
Koster Bushmaster 3V 5 inch blade around .200 inch thick blade

or:

Big Chris Bushcrafter 4V at rc 63. .

At one point I had close to 1600 knives, some were inherited and the rest I accumulated over 40 years of collecting. This scenario is painful because I did lose my collection. Through several surgeries, back injuries and most recently, 2 strokes, I have sold off all but a couple that are too worn to sell. If by chance I ever get to start over, I would get a Randall 8-4 first as that was very special to me. Next would be a Case xx trapper from the 70's, that was special as well. Lastly, I would get a Case XX peanut in CV and stag. All have sentimental value that meant a lot to me.

This is an interesting question. My choices would depend on my disposable income at the time. Suddenly finding myself in a completely knifeless state, I would be in a rush to get something to carry and use (with high bang-for-the-buck), then save and bargain hunt to slowly rebuild the collection.

So immediately, I would get:

1) Spyderco FFG VG-10 Endura
2) Izula or Swamp Warden if I could find one
3) A basic Murray Carter kitchen knife

If we assume that I still have my kitchen knives and multitools, then I would sub a Baryonyx "Special Grade" Imacasa machete for #3. If the multis are gone too, then I would be tempted to replace the EDC fixed blade (#2) with a SAK Tinker.

If I lost my entire collection, I'd definitely start with the knives that provide me with the most versatility:
1) Sebenza 21 (S35vn folder)
2) Spiderco Warrior (H1 fixed)

Since those two cover a good range of use and durability, I'd get an impractical beauty for number 3:
3) Benchmade 710-142 (Damascus gentlemen's folder)

As an honorable mention, I might swap #3 for a ZT0550, assisted HTM gunhammer or something else more tactical.

Large Damascus 21 sebenza
XM 18 3.5 spanto
Brs Alpha Beast

No second thoughts about any of them. :D
