What 3 knives would you get first after losing your whole knife collection?

If Victoinox count as knives vs multi tools then

1. Farmer
2. Cadet
3. Mora Companion

Otherwise
1. GEC Farmer Lock
2. Spyderco Delica FFG
3. Mora Companion

I hear ya!

I guess knowing what I know now, I would probably try to build my collection a bit differently than when I first started. Which was just randomly buying "cool looking" knives. I would start with three standbys (for me) to get back to my ideal, easily affordable, knife system. Which is a good fixed blade, a SAK and one hand opener EDC blade and go from there.

1. Mora Craftline HighQ Robust
2. SAK Farmer
3. Benchmade Minigrip (or the Kershaw blur in S30V) I still can't decide which I like better.

Hope this never happens to me!

this happened to me, i hate thieves. I got an umnum, southard and a zt 801

Sorry for your loss. Way to come back strong though! Stay Sharp!

Since I've sold quite a few of my knives at this point, my 3 knives I'd get first would be:

1) Spyderco Gayle Bradley
2) Spyderco Manix 2 CTS-XHP (if I could find one)
3) Spyderco PM2--I'm starting to love this knife now. It took a while, buts its grown on me.

1) Victorinox Huntsman
2) Becker BK11 (or 14 - depends on how I was feeling about handle shapes that day) w/ slabs
3) Becker BK9

Beckerhead #42

My choices:

SAK Huntsman (or Farmer Alox)
BK16 (or GSO 4.1 or Bark River Aurora 3V)
Some custom - perhaps my Bradford Orwell or the pending Bushcrafter from Big Chris.

As you can see, I'm not decisive, but I'm sure putting together three selections was difficult for many of you, like it should be for any addict. :)

I would first replace the knives I use most.
Herder paring knife
VG-10 Chef's knife
And as a pocketknife a ffg delica.

A Victorinox Super Tinker (the one with the scissors), a Spyderco Endura, and an ESEE-6. You can't cut it with that...can't be cut.

ZT0600
LionSteel SR-1D Raindrop
?????? undecided atm

Didn't see anything about it had to be a production. With that in mind, my third one would be a JW Smith SD-3,with the 4.5" blade. Handle material would be black or green G-10.

Esse Zancudo
SRM 710
Mora companion

Under $50 right there.
Then I have something to get me by while I save the money for the goods.

Once my insurance paid off I'd be like a kid in a candy store but until it does,
ZT301
Buck119
Boker 182 (some variaton)

If money was an issue:

1. Swiss Army Tinker
2. Mora Classic 2
3. Cold Steel mini Recon spear point

If Money was not an issue
1. Swiss Army Tinker
2. Cold Steel mini Recon spear point
3. Fallkniven f1

I cannot say enough good things about the SAK tinker and mini recon spear point. Just love the simplicity and functionality of both knives. I don't use a ton of fixed blades in life so those were sort of interchangeable.

Benchmade 520 Presidio
556 Mini-Grip
Paramilitary 2

Although this list might change... I just got a BM 800 AFCK in the mail. It may be my new favorite

Small sebenza
Esee 6
Bark river bravo necker 2 in 3v

Pretty sure that I could go a long while with just those 3
