Im mainly looking for $10 to $20 knives but up to $30 is cool.
I have a knife addiction and need to buy a knife, but I can't save up money for a car buying high end knives.

so far on my list I have:
mora clipper
cheaper than dirt knives - all of them

Thanks

I've heard good things about Opinel knives. I just bought the Boker Tom Krein Pocket Bowie and I really like it.

Best knife I've found for around fifteen bucks is the Kabar Dozier Folder Hunting Knife w/Thumb Notch.

I know you said up to $30, but if you can go just a LITTLE higher, get a Spyderco Tenacious or a Kershaw Skyline. Both awesome knives for the money, but the Spydie will feel like you've bought a much more expensive knife. The Kershaw feels like a $35 knife, but it is just very functional, sharp, and easy to deploy for that price.

What knife is that stabbed into the concrete in your avatar?

The kershaw chill is $16 and AMAZING for the price. I posted a review with pictures and video a few days back in this forum, you can find in my post history. IMO you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least give it a solid look.

Obviously depends on what you want the knives for, what size, etc. , but for $30 in a big folder, the Kershaw Cyclone in a good deal. It's discontinued, but if you look around it can be found pretty easy.

In a fixed knife, it's hard to beat a COUPLE Moras for $30.

I just picked up a Kershaw Cyclone myself and it is a good knife for the money..Very sharp assisted open and for a little under $40.

I was surprised how big it is, yet flat. Carries well. But it does take up some room in a pocket (lol)

Been rotating a Vantage Pro and the Cyclone as EDC's.

Already been stated...

Ka-Bar Dozier Series. Various Victorinox and Wenger models. Inexpensive Kershaw knives. Buck Vantage and Bantam. Leatherman Crater. Opinels and Moras. Boker Magnum knives. Spyder Tenacious and Byrd Knives. Cold Steel Roach Belly and other 4116 Krupp offerings. CRKT.. And many, many more.

I think many of us understand your predicament.

Everything made by Mora is great and all are very inexpensive. The clipper (on your list) is very popular but don't limit yourself to that. There's the new Bushcrafter series, there's the new HighQ series (much like the Clipper) and the list goes on and on. One could conceiveable go one's whole life and need nothing other than Mora's...I would want to live like that...but I think I could and I'd be none the worse for wear and my wallet would be much fatter. All made in Sweden of Swedish and/or German steel.

Ontario RAT-1 is surprisingly good. Made in Taiwan.

Some of the Chinese made Spydercos are surprisingly inexpensive (tenacious, resilience, and a couple others). Although made in China, they are done so under the watchful eye of Spyderco and are thus no what one stereotypically thinks of in a Chinese-made product.

And let's not forget Buck. Buck is back!!! They had a bad period but that's over. The stuff they are making right now is fantastic. 420HC heat treated perfectly as well as some other steels. Any company that is not shy about naming their steel is good in my book. A true American Classic, the Buck 110 is still only $40.
