what are the best cheap knives

In the sub 20 dollar I've had very good expierences with moras, opinels, old hickory's and EKA however I just recieved a Mora 711 allround the other day and the quality of this 9 dollar knife left me astonished the edge sharpened up to a " hair whittling" level in just minutes and the the scandi grind cuts like theres no tomarrow,

Eka Swede 88, an excellent Swedish pocket knife with a unique look and superb ergonomy; and far from the tactical crowd. Like Opinel, Mercator and Douk-douk, a knife with soul.

I too like the sub $20 knives, I edc them or throw them in my back packs and glove box. Don't think twice about using them hard, dropping them, lending them, or even losing them (haven't lost any yet...knock on wood).
I recommend and own:
Kershaw half ton
Kershaw Chill
Sanrenmu 763 &710 or any other (these truly are awesome and not just for the price but over all)
Rough Rider knives (I carry a lock back knife as a secondary people friendly knife)

Here's one that hasn't been mentioned yet: CRKT Pazoda. It's a very nice knive with good ergos, nice design (at least I think so), and decent steel. It comes in two sizes and retails for less than $20. Heck of a deal!

I bought a Kershaw OSO Sweet off ebay for less than 20. I am well pleased with it. I have an Ontario RAT 1 on the way that I got for less than $30 incl postage. It has good reviews, but I have not seen one.

Kershaw Whirlwind can be had for about 25-30.00 on eBay sometimes. Kershaw Guy had some a while ago for 25.00 I love mine and carry it a lot. For the money I think it is a great EDC knife.

SOG Flash 2 is my favorite cheap knife. It's light weight, tough and assisted opening. It also carries well with a great pocket clip.

For the money, a CRKT Drifter is hard to beat.
Smooth opening, trim, I like the cutting efficiency of the recurve blade, all in all an excellent EDC knife.

For heavy duty/ Tactical use the Ontario Rat 1, I absolutely love mine.

If you like classis styling go for an Opinel, the 6 is very nice and small, but the 8 is my favorite one. Or, pick up a Rough Rider SlipJoint, they make excellent slipjoints in a variety of patterns, most can be had under $15.

And for a dependable woods folder, the Svord Peasant knife is a great knife, most of mine came a bit dull out of the box, but if you can sharpen a knife well they are an excellent option.
