AFCK in D2, axis lock, half serrated.
Love the ergos, love the lock - the half serrated and half plain edge makes it half good for anything... and it will not take a decent edge. I can scary sharp my pro hunter, my cuda maxx, my rukus, my old kershaw g-10/ats-34, my frikkin swiss army knife... but this knife won't take and hold a good edge despite lots of work. heat treat? maybe... probably...

Ever think of selling it? :)

Mine is surprisingly, a SOG Pentagon Elite.

Ding, ding, ding! As I was reading this thread, Iwas thinking about the pieces I have that I do not like. My 1st gen SOG Pentagon Elite is tucked so far back into one of the drawers fo my knife chest, that I often forget I have it. It hasn't seen the light of day for years. The blade design with serrations and 'Shark Tooth' tip aren't the most useful for me. And yes, the lock seems sooo flimsy. I really don't know what I was thinking when I bought that thing. Perhaps I bought it to be the 'ultimate folding companion' to the 1st gen SEAL 2000 I also have, and never, ever use.

It's funny how some of us can look back, and gauge our 'knife knowledge evolution' by the types of blades we purchased over the years. Although that Pentagon elite sent me backwards a few steps at the time of purchase, I'm sure.

I've sharpened probably 50 CRKT M16s and I cant say that I've like any of them. They dull far too quickly and lose screws and finish quickly. CRKT replaces the screws free of charge but its still not a great design. I dont like the tanto, the chisel grind or the cheap steel which was all that was available for a long time. Now they have some newer models but I'm far too soured at this point.

A buddy has a Gerber paraframe that is down to 1 of 4 screws/standoffs. Hes sent it to gerber twice and they always put it back together but it seems to be less than a month before its missing things. We even red locktited them last time.

My least favorite is a Tops made auto. Its an unmarked knife that supposedly has a finish that wont hold fingerprints that was an over run for something special. There are no marks at all on the blade or handle. It came in a box with the Tops logo with a picture of the knife on the outside but you'd never know from looking at it. Its 154CM and holds a decent edge but its just not my thing. I'd sell it but no one seems to believe me when I say its a Tops so I'm stuck with it.

My large Micarta Sebenza. Horrendous fit and finish, one of the inlays already popped off. Bladeplay in both directions. The clip screw sheared off when I tried to tighten it. Overall, two thumbs down :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

Just kidding, the best made knife I have ever owned, and my favorite, bar none.

I would have to say that my CRKT M21-02 is my least favorite of the knives I own. That's not to say it is downright horrible, but it has very minor bladeplay in both directions. I also dislike the grip it has. Four fingers aren't comfortable, three fingers seems lacking.

- gerber paraframe it actually take's work to come up with something this bad in design.
-gerber applegate-fairbairn combat folder very nice just to big for me and its the least useful knife i own. wanna buy it?

My srk. It was arguably the first good knife I bought excepting for maybe my BM 42 (cant remember which came first lol). It was defiantley my first fixed blade. I jsut hate CS granted i wasnt a bladeforums member when i obught it but i still feel gulty for hlping that shill earn a buck.

Afte rhtat the next knife ibought was a chris reeve an i continued this trend with emersons and striders and daltons and microtechs... etc.

So i cant really say that i hav enay knives i dont like, excepting a few china cheapies which i actually kinda like.

Nothing says clasie like a china auto. lol.

Don't mean to be a party pooper but all CRKT knives seem to be problematic. Please don't ask me what I mean by that. Check the reviews. :thumbdn: Thanks. :) Pakistani knives proved better in QC.

For me it's a toss up between the Case mid folding hunter and the Case Russlock. I've come to the conclusion that Case just can't do liner locks. Both had play laterally and front/rear. Meanwhile, I've had several Case Copperlocks, and the lockback on those is consistently flawless -- smooth and tight.

My least favorite knife is my Gerber MP800 Legend. I love the replaceable cutting edges on the wire cutter, and the fact that it takes jigsaw blades, but it's made from cast metal and I've broken some of the tools on it. I just bought a swisstool rs to replace it.

Gerber Vector... i get the feeling if i use it much more i'll end up with less fingers

my first knife (and name sake LOL) was the worst knife I have ever owned, but it was a good starter, it wasn't sharp so I never cut my self and there is no way that the steel will rust. then I got a LEEK (and spydercos, benchmades and yada, yada, yada) and never looked back.

A lot of people have knives they knew right off were going to probably be bad when they got them. Others bought their least favorite knives then just fell out with them. Others we just grew out of.

There was a time when I'd put the Smith Extreme Ops in the "Worst" category, but there are just such horrendous knives out there that are so much worse than the Smith that it's now Gerber that's fallen into the bottom slots. I imagine CRKT will either improve or go the other direction, but for now it's teetering.

CRKT My Tighe

Bought it on a whim cause I like the blade profile. Crappy steel, I seem to be sharpening it ever week. AO is ok I suppose. But the more I look at it, the less I like the zytel scales. Looks cheap. I think the all black version looks better, but it only comes in CE. Boo.

For me, it's my Camillus Heat. The novelty of the A/O mechanism wore off a lot quicker than I expected. However, I still like it, I just like it less than my other knives.

I agree with everyone else. You can get better knives out of gas stations than the gerber paraframes. They should rename it gerber pos and gerber pos mini

Bechmade HK folder (Red Box)

Build quality was ok, but knife was not sharp out of the box and would not sharpen. Gave it away.
