Excluding the Shiva Rex, Scotch Dispenser, and the Sus Scrofa, in your opinion, which are the top two or three least popular Busse knives and why? Just curious as to everyone's thoughts.

.

Seems to be any model I try to sell!

.

Least popular: Nuclear Seahorse
2nd least popular: AD
3rd least popular: Batac

I know I'm a newb, but what's wrong with the SS? That's actually the next model I've got in mind.

I for one, really like the SS. It is a lotta slice. Nice wide blade for the size knife. Enough handle. The "tail" can be used for striking a ferro rod if you strip it, (or spend a minute with a round file on a satin or Double Cut version). I miss mine. Great for slicing, Great Point control.

Shiva and the Scotch Dispenser not so much.

The ones that jump mind outside those you already got.........

The Original Straight handled series, Mistress, Steal heart, Badger ........... Any one who has these original dogs should just save them selves the embarrassment and send them to me!

I also love the AD. Probably my favorite small Busse (if it was choil less it would be perfect).

I also really like the BTac, especially the thinner versions. Some think it has too much handle for the blade length, but I tend to like a long handle.

The Nuke Seahorse.........my eyes.........some things you just can't unsee!

hmmm, excluding the Scrofa and the Scotch Dispenser (and surely the Nuclear Seahorse which isn't the same since it isn't really for sale), that's a tough question.

maybe the SAR5. certainly Jerry's least favorite, IIRC.

maybe SJTAC and BATACs. I don't like the handles/pommels at all, and I especially don't like the size of the BATAC - too big to be small, too small to be big, to me, oddly thick and chunky and not especially good at anything. (no offense intended)

Tankbusters don't seem all that popular either.

And, sadly, I bet the Team Gemini isn't that popular - but it ought to be IMO.

I think I threw up in my mouth a little. :)

anyone remember this thing ?

PT 5 I think ? looked really cool when the pics are from the tip back.

but straight on, it is a chopped up NO e-handle :)

Good Gravy I hated this thing, I had 3 at one time long ago. :barf:

All the rest of them have been home runs even the Scotch dispenser, & SAR 5

i can only comment on the ones ive owned.my least favorite was the boss jack.only because the edge was way to thick.i liked the rest of the knife though.JERRY,BRING ON THE ANOREXIC BOSS JACK!!!!
i also didnt like the fatty game warden for the same reason.

I own a SUS Scrofa and really like it, it has good balance and feels good in the hand. Wife got it for me for Christmas and I really like it, other than that its a unique blade shape.

Sorry I have nothing to add to this thread other than the above.

If you still have those and and to get rid of them, let me know :D

I like the Shiva Rex, limited yes, cool yes.

I also like the Scrofa and the War Boar, both are limited but both are pretty cool looking.

Least popular I think are the killer bees, they look good without the yellow and black cord wrapped handle, but I think with them they are kind of :barf:.

Also, the skeleton key I don't think is all that popular.

IMO, the BIBB is one of the most obscure and least popular Busses. I had one and really liked the ergos but decided to trade it for something a bit smaller.

I almost never see a NARK discussed here either...

When the AD first came out, it was THE cool new kid on the block. All of the old time hogs were quick to adopt it as their EDC of choice.

As soon as I get my hands on a presentation NARK (especially with either snakeskin or green linen handles), I won't be able to shut up about it! ;):D From what I understand, there just aren't that many out there in HOGland... I think they're pretty darn cool.

For those that said the BATAC... You might think so, but a lot of those are out there. I seem to recall them being a big seller when they were offered, and personally, it's one of my favorite models, even over the SJTAC. My user CG BATAC sees more use than any other of my user Busse's.

I'm with David... Never did like the PT-5. I'm sure that it is great for what it was created for ("Protection Team 5"), but it never appealed to me...then again, tanto blades aren't really my thing either.

AD's & GW's are what really got me hooked on Busse's. :) ...I love them AD's! :D

These knives don't seem to have any vocal proponents:
Pt5, shiva rex, scotch dispenser, war boar

There are a lot of people who love the satin jack line, badger attack, sus scrofa, and all of the straight handles. Even the 1/4" assault shakers had fans - seriously. 1/4 knife with like an inch of blade. Those few who purchased the team gemini seem to like it. I like the nuclear seahorse.

I totally forgot about the nark. Very few to no vocal proponents. That thing... It was way, way WAY too overbuilt. That edge was brutally thick. As bad or worse then the public defender.

I'm surprised the BATAC was mentioned so much:eek:, it's one of my "favorites" of all time.:D

I might be nuts, but it seems like a year or so back the Sarsquatch was looked at pretty poorly, but recently has become pretty popular.

The SAR5 doesn't seem all that popular.

:eek::eek: I can't agree with you on that one. I did hear a rumor that Jerry cracked open a bottle of JWR the night he ground it, but knowing the Bossman (fairly well), I don't quite believe it... He'd never drink the Red! ;)

However, I am one of the few who really digs the Team Gemini.
