What are the least popular Busses?

Just saw one of these on sale on another board. Why didn't I think of this one already. . .

Jackhammer!

To me, it just doesn't do anything well. Not a chopper. Not a prier. Not really a fighter, per se. It's in that noman's land between all styles of blades.

I don't know what the situation is now, but for years you couldn't sell a new, unused Tali-Whacker for more than original cost.

True, and yet I always thought that they looked very cool. I came very close to getting one more than a few times, but I haven't seen one on the X in forever.

Interestingly enough, I have an SHBM and one of the A2 Steel Hearts that I love--I will never get rid of them. But, I have also had thin and thick SHBAs and I never really grew to love them. The blade geometry was such that they were a real chore to use in the kitchen. Yet, a lot of folks love theirs. The SHBAs are somewhat substantial, felt awesome in hand, and probably would do well in a number of roles, but I have found that many of my customs to be simply much more versatile. I guess it just goes to show how much individual tastes can differ.

I'm not sure why the SAR 5 is frowned upon.
This is the only SAR model I actually care for.

The sentiment against the SAR5 may reflect Jerry's dislike of it. Apart from that, it is a pretty decent knife. And they were not expensive, as INFI goes; making them ripe for modding. Thin down the fat handle and you are good to go.

Really? I always liked the AD

Yeah. I'm not sure what that might be based on, but I've seen lot's of these things carried EDC and collected.
Not one of my favorites, but definitely not as high on my hate list as the SAR5.:barf:

The ad and batac are in no way unpopular, let along 'least popular'. They are two of the mainstays in popularity for midsized knives.

I like my Shiva Rex! I use it to carve pumpkins every year :D I should get a sheath for it so I don't have to transport it in the cardboard sleeve.

On the Sar 5, I don't see nothing wrong with the handle or the design, which I love it.
But I have to say for the money that paid I was expecting a perfect balance, like all the other Busse's that I own.
The handle on the SAR 5 is too damn heavy. Few laser holes on the handle will not heart nobody, and this should have been done on the first place!
Damn, I'm so angry about it.... that I will cut the book now:mad::D

To me personally the models I already have are the least popular. Maybe that's why I always feel like I need all the other ones out there  :foot: :D

I think the CG BATAC is just underrated. I think it can perform many task. If you have large hands, the handle is nice. It has a good belly for skinning and can go through ribs and pelvic bones easily without rolling the edge and is still sharp afterwards. Doing that job with other knives is where I always dull them. The BATAC can also be customized into many configurations. I think it's a good looking knife as well. They seem to sale quickly on the exchange.

I love the overall shape, size and design of the BATAC except its just too thick for my preferance. It would be the perfect knife if the blade was thinner.

I love my BATAC LE. Thick is good when you have to break a bone while field dressing, or for kindling. The straight TAC handle lets you hang onto it way back too.
I wear mine in the small of my back where it's out of the way. Granted Brian @ Okuden upped the retaining pressure so it didn't pop out while running, but I dig it.

Thanks, Jerry, for talking down the value of the knife I already paid WAY too much for. Way to help a customer out.:p

Wonder if Mr. Toyota tells people how much he hates the Corolla?:)

What about those tiny Bearcub HACKs?

They would be more popular if some kydex sheath making Bear Cub-aholic from Arizona didn't own like 90% of 'em... ;)
So instead of being popular, they're just flat out elusive!

:D
