I am a Eugene as well..the 3rd actually, I am named after my Greatgrandfather and Father...French Canadians..by way of Normandy France in the late 17th century...Trappers and Lumberjacks, Priests and Nuns, Gamblers and Gunslingers. My Aunt (a scientist) took a year off in the early 80's to track down our family history..it was a present to my Late Grandfather...She made it up into this big poster..I sat there reading it in Awe as a young man....some of my GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT Grannies had over 25 KIDS!!!I love that history stuff. I am hijacking my own thread here....oh well.
