What are you watching & why? (splain)

Ok.....I've been telling that to my non-knife friends, trying to explain why they think these CPK's feel good in their hands! For the record, I quote Mr. Loveless for saying it!!! 😃

Does this go through your mind while you are contemplating designs, Lorien?? 🙂
CPK + Lorien collabs = handles for DEK, FK etc.

CPK + Keffeler collabs = handles for K18, K20...

🤔

you really don't wanna know what's going through my mind at any given time, and particularly then...

I watched an interesting film with the family the other night - Leave the World Behind. I didn't know anything about it other than it has Ethan Hawke in it, whom I am a fan of. I was surprised to see Julia Roberts in it, I haven't seen her in anything in a really long time. It was odd to see how much she has aged - happens to us all.

I enjoyed the movie. It was one of those end-of-days types of movies that was both predictable and unpredictable. Strange movie that kept me engaged throughout. The ending, simple as it was, left a lot of the weirdness unanswered though.

I dug into it a bit after it was done. Turns out it is based on a novel of the same name. I also discovered that the film was review bombed due to some feigned dissatisfaction with a certain ex-President's family helping fund it. I wish people would think for themselves, that kind of crap is just stupid.

Last night, I started on The Brothers Sun series. Three episodes deep and it's been a lot of fun. It's hard not to enjoy Michelle Yeoh on screen though.

Watched a movie with the family last night.

It isn't my usual fare but I thought it a terrific movie. CODA, like the title suggests, is a movie about a young girl with intact hearing who was born into a deaf family. Comedic at times, dramatic and heartfelt at others, it was one of those types of films that makes you feel things. The deaf characters are actually deaf actors and from what I understand, Troy Kotsur ad-libbed a lot of his dialogue.

Superb film all around.

Street Trash (1987)

This is your typical B movie you could rent from a gas station on VHS.

It's a ridiculous gore fest of homeless people living in a junk yard. They're given a drink in a whiskey flask, that melts and or makes you explode in a green goo. With the people that watched you melt or explode, going bonkers.
