What are you watching & why? (splain)

Man! The second season of 1923 has become so baaaaaaad! Didn't exactly start in the most promising way and then tapered off very very quickly as it progressed. Harrison Ford, Hellen Mirren, Timothy Dalton and Jerome Flynn are truly wasted in this ghastly series all because of Taylor Sheradin's really sh*tty story writing combined with his apparent and twisted fascination with gratuitous inclusion of sexual violence 🤷‍♂️

ETA:

Bosch Legacy last season is watchable, not great but still watchable. White Lotus S3 is great despite starting off somewhat slower than their other seasons, JMO.

Reacher was OK, It's tough to keep telling the same story every year. Eventually though he'll run out of unfinished business from his Army days that finds him out in the boonies and have to do something new.

Waiting for this.

Its gotten really weird. How many animal attacks can we have in one season?

I'm at a real loss in terms of finding anything good to watch. Season three of white lotus is incredibly slow and boring whereas I enjoyed the first two seasons. Penguin started to suck after a great first couple of episodes.

Unironically PBS has come through for me the most lately. Rewatched Wolf Hall and it was amazing. Think I'm a bit light in the loafers for some period pieces which is concerning... but I've yet to see anything newly produced that was legitimately talented, and I wonder what that is doing to our minds - we used to have such amazing culture :(

I know I make this same complaint in this thread every couple months lol. I think I'll put together a recommended watch list for my next post instead of complaining.

I enjoyed both seasons of Severance but it may be a bit slow for most people. It's like The Office on acid. I'm also excited for the second season of The Rehearsal. I highly recommend the first season if you like very out-there comedy.
They lost me this season. I thought it was a good concept and story but the second season was frustratingly slow and if there’s a third I won’t be watching.
