What are your 2 favorite current production ZT flippers?

0801 for the flipping action
0350 for being on washers - than I prefer when I am used to “hard use” a knife

I’ve been looking at the 0462. I don’t see any posts about it so I am wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with the knife. I think it looks great. As far as my favorite ZT to date, it has to be a toss up between the 0220, 301, and 0850. Hard to choose just one.

I only own one, which is the 0450cf. It was a little dull out of the box, but it's perfect for an edc office carry with the carbon fiber and smaller profile. The flipping action is great.

So, doing a quick tally, the results so far are (roughly, due to counting third and fourth choices):
0562CF/0562: 16 votes
0450CF/0450: 12 votes
0393 and 0801: 6 votes each
0452CF/0452: 5 votes
0566: 4 votes
0220 and 0456: 3 votes each
0095BW, 0460, 0609, 0850, 0920: 2 votes each
0301, 0350, 0770CF, 0804CF, 0900, 0909: 1 vote each

Looks like I need to check out the 0393 (that bronze sprint is very nice looking) and the 0801. The 0566 is a great size for what I'm looking for, but I've gotten mixed reviews about the smoothness and functioning of a deassisted 0566. (I'm not a big fan of spring assists.) The rest I've either handled and didn't love, or don't fit my needs for a smaller knife.

I have deassisted 3 of the 566s now and they all turned out to be great flippers ... smooth and not much trouble to get the blade centered using the little trick to do so.

Im usually not huge on assisted knives but I left one 566 assisted and it has surprised me and never failed it gets carried a couple times a week at least for over 2 years never and problems.

And it is a great size for most any task ... big enough it never fees too small and small enough I ever feel like I have too much knfe for the task.

Hi kpp80202 ... since I can't pm you without you having a paid membership ... I posted a link to a youtube video on your profile page ... that shows the trick to recenter the blade ... there should be several but this one looked to show and explain it simply ... hope that helps.

if that doesn't explain let me know I'll try to write it out for you ... but it's pretty straight forward and seems to work and not only on deassisting a ZT.

Currently the 0562, followed by the 0566, but I think when I get an 0393, that may changed.

The 0450 series (I have 3 of them) as well as the 0801 series (have 2 of them) are awesome flippers. The 0452cf & 0452ti I have are also awesome flippers. Really hard to choose to be honest.

The 0562 (G-10, Elmax) is my favorite and most carried for the past few years.

The 0566 (G-10, Elmax) was my first ZT, and is still my second favorite. I’d prefer that it wasn’t assisted, but I don’t care enough about that to de-assist it. The weight complaints about this knife make little sense to me. It is an especially good user, between the blade steel and blade stock (.125 vs the more common for ZT .16).

Less than 3.5", I have 0609, 0450CF.

If I had to choose just one for actually cutting something it would be the 0609. Actually, the 0609 is an awesome tool even though I like blades longer than 3.5".

If I had to choose just one for flicking all day, 0450. And the 0450CF with a polished edge looks all so pretty. And those green stand-offs.....

0562CF and 0609 both 20CV.

The 0562CF because of it's action and build.

The 0609 because of it's design and size to blade ratio.

Both my 0393’s and my 0392

The 0393 and the 0393 (the only ZT I ever owned :D). Was looking at the 0609 but the proprietary pivot killed it for me.
