What are your 2 favorite current production ZT flippers?

Well, I took your input from this thread and converted it into my first ZT--a 0450:

You did well. I love my 0450. Classic shape, flips beautifully and nice blade material. I’ve modified mine with blue standoff’s and blue deep carry clip.

A deep carry clip would be nice. This one sticks up pretty far, and the silver/bare metal really stands out (unless I wear silver pants...).

I'm not sure if the clip design was meant to show off the colored standoffs, or to make it easier to grab the smallish frame. It does both.

Conversely the big brother 0452 has a deep carry clip, that is also much shorter. I've come to appreciate both setups as they came for different reasons. My 0452CF makes a fairly large blade disappear in pocket. And the small clip, if even ever seen, makes it look like a very tiny knife. But if you've ever opened a 0452 in public, you may notice bystanders gasp.

While the little 0450 may look like more blade than it is while in pocket, it's never bothered me. The proud stance does make it very easy to grab and extract.

Good points on the ease-of-removal issue.

Unfortunately, buying this has not quenched my thirst for ZTs. I think either a 0562CF or a 0350 is next (I know, I said I'm not a fan of the assist, but somehow, this knife speaks to me...). I just got a $20 off coupon from Sportsman's Warehouse, and they gave a store about 10 minutes from where I'll be dropping off my daughter for dance class this evening. Hmmm.

Nice! The guy I bought the 0450 from just let me know he has a brand new 0562CF he can sell me for $200. Dang.

Just picked up a 393 and a 462, so they're my favorite right now. Had to put the 0801 and the 0095 down while the new ones get the pocket time. More than likely they'll win favor again.:D

Huzzah! A great choice and my first ZT as well. Indeed, it is a gateway knife!
Go for the 562CF and post a pick with those two bad boys together!

I am not really a fan of flipper knives by any maker, and have stated previously that I wished ZT would return to thumb studs. Just recently I picked up a ZT 0393 with the intention of trying the thumb studs. If thumbing worked I was going to remove the flipper protrusion and keep the knife. If not I was going to sell it off. The thumb studs work, but are kind of short. The thumbing angle is a little different but I think it would be acceptable it the studs were longer.
That being said, I am NOT going to remove the flipper protrusion. This is the best "flippin" knife that I've ever tried. If you pull on the blade, the detention holds it very well. But using the flipper protrusion results in an easy opening. The angle and length of the flipper must be very well thought out. The blade just flies out. Flip it hard, or flip it light and it just works.
I finally found a flipper that I like. The ZT 0393

The only ZT model I carry routinely is my 0900. I love that little knife. It has a strong detent that makes the blade crack open like Indiana Jone's whip. The handle just fits my hand so it's really comfortable to me(may not be to some others). It's one of my favorite looking ZT's too. Very minimalist. Add the thick titanium liners and .16 inch blade stock and you have one helluva beater. There isn't much I wouldn't do with this knife.

Old picture.

That little knife that We has released will takeover the 0900’s market. ZT needs at least two sub 3” flippers: an overbuilt one like the 0900, and gents knife like the new We.

I've been on the edge of pulling the trigger on a ZT 0462, ever since it was announced. Has anyone spent much time using one yet? If so, how are you liking it?

My two current favorites are the 0462 and 0609. The 0609 is great because it is fun and practical. The 0462 is simply a sweet big knife is very light for its size.
