What are your favorite beers?

I started out drinking German brews way back in the 60s, and still prefer them for the most part.
I usually buy Warstiener, which is excellent and readily available. Bitburg is good as well, but I have to go to the snooty import-liquor store to get it.

New Belgium (mentioned above) makes some good brews, I like Fat Tire occasionally.
A Dos Equis now and then isn't bad either.

I've had a few microbrews I like, but many of them get a little too creative for me. The more added ingredients.....

Occasionally I'll have one of the heavy stouts, but I've never developed much of a fondness.
However, the hugely-popular varieties of "light" beer.... I'm reminded of the old Monty Python bit. "Like making love in a canoe". (F*#@&!ng close to water!)

I just know someone is going to say :barf: to this one. I really like Bud Ice Lite after cutting the grass. Makes yard work worth it.

Hey, if everyone had the same taste, the beer store would be a boring place. :D

I love Unibroue Maudite, but I don't drink it much because it has a way of getting me a touch on the drunk side. I like the change it up and try new things, but if I sit down at a bar, I'll most likely get a Boulevard Wheat or Killians Red. Or a pitcher of Bud Light if I'm watching my figure. :D

I like most offerings from Boulevard, which is from here in Kansas City. My summer favorite is their Unfiltered Wheat. I have a friend who works there, and he will often give me a case of the Wheat.

I like Killian's Red when I'm out with friends, and Smithwick's. I just discovered Abita when I was down in New Orleans this last winter.

Occassionally I'll drink a Stout or Porter, if I'm in the mood to drink my dinner.

If I'm feeling cheap, I'll buy a six-pack of Michelob Amber Bock.

Fraoch heather ale.
Theakstons' Old Peculier.
Riggwelter.
Hebridean brewing co. Berserker.
Timothy Taylors Landlord.

Over the last few years I've really got into the Porter style of beer. My favourite though are:
Batemans Salem Porter
Hambletons Nightmare Porter
also
Coniston Bluebird
Deuchars IPA.

Got to try a couple of U.S bottled ales last year. I think they were from:
Fat Tire Brewery
Sawtooth Brewery.
Don't remember the exact brews but they were very nice.
D.

I don't drink anymore, but when I did my favorite beer was....
Yellow.
Followed closely by Brown.

:D

In order of drunk recollection.

Holsten Pils

Pirate (yes there is I think a Belgian beer called this and its more like Bourben)

Hoegarden < Best wheat beer in the world

Hobgoblin British Ale

Scrumpy Jack (Cidar in its finest and scrumpyness)

Can't beat that Landlord. The others are good too, though I haven't tried Berserker. Excellent name!

Also like:
Morland Old Speckled Hen
Morland Hen's Tooth
Shepherd Neame Spitfire
Shepherd Neame Bishop's Finger
Anything from Wychwood, Marstons, Black Sheep or Greene King.

I will NOT drink Bud Light regardless of the situation. If it's free, I'll turn it down.

My favorites:

Highlands Gaelic Ale, Oatmeal Porter and they make a really good IPA
Sweetwater 420
Tilburg's Dutch Brown

There are more... but when I'm out those are my usual choices.

I'm starting to really like Blue Moon as far as mass produced beers go. Killian's Irish Red is good too, and Red Stripe is growing on me.

Miller High Life will always have a special place in my heart too.

I drink Stella Artois almost exclusively.

Although I'm far from a connoiseur (sp?)

Heineken
Bud Lite
Miller Lite
Henry Weinhard's private Reserve (one of my favorites)
LaBatt Blue

I am also addicted to bitch beer; Mikes Hard Lime and Lemonade.

My wife has become a wine snob as of late, so I'm just drinking whatever beer I see in the store, from the above list, because she is breaking the damn bank with all of this damn wine!

All of the wines are local vintage; I must admit that visiting the wineries is cool, but there sure are a hell of a lot of those stuck up, beamer drivin' asswipes there, turning their nose up at my old lady's minivan!

Also, for those of you who know microbrews, I live in the same area that Bert Grant (Grant's Scottish Ale, ect) started his Microbrewery. It is sad to see it sitting idle, as the new owners moved production to Florida last year. You'll al so notice none of Bert's beers on my list.
