What are your "I'm not screwing around" knives?

Fixed blade: Mora 711
Folder: Paramilitary

But, I'll pretty much use whatever I have on me. They can take it. For straight whuppin-up on, my Vic Spirit takes a heap of abuse.

Another vote for the Endura.

It does almost any job really well, and if something happens to it - well, I've got another one ready to go.

ZT 0300. It'll kick some serious butt.

My only fixed blade is a ZT 0150 dagger--I think it's serious enough alright.

I try not to carry anything that can't handle what I'd use a knife for. I try not to pry so cutting things is not a big deal, no matter if I am carrying a Sebenza, the Elishewitz that has made its way into my pocket for the last couple of months, or a Native, Byrd......

I've never understood the idea of getting another knife when you have one in your pocket. Then again the only way I'd consider getting rid of a knife is give it away (2 going to classmates for their birthdays tomorrow night) or trade, so having it in less than pristine condition is not a big deal to me; plus with 200+ knives each one can get used hard and then not used again for a couple of months, decreasing the wear and tear.

Hmmm.....my not screwing around knife? Well, for "I'm not screwing around utility work", I use my SOG Trident...it survived half of my 15 month deployment to Iraq.....hehe....still has a lil bit of Iraq dust in the mechanism.....it was used hard as hell, and it pretty much my sacrificial knife....other than a little bit of blade play its developed, I can't seem to destroy that damn knife.....as for my "other" I'm not screwing around knife....in terms of a back up knife, I look no further than my MOD CQD Mark 1 combo-edge, manual opening.

If I have a dirty job to do I always grab the M2 grip.

i refuse to own a non hard use knife... that said it takes me 20 min to decide which one i want:)

(i usually go with my 119 and a cheapo machete)

I've used my Benchmade 730 CFHS as a hard-use piece for several years. It's cut sheetrock, insulation, and trimmed 2x4s. It's got that great M2 blade, and an axis lock. Like grybsh7's M2 Grip, it's not the prettiest knife anymore, but I still love it.

I also bring out the Cold Steel Carbon V Twistmaster 5" Tanto for yard work, or when going out camping. That thing can take a beating.

bm930, supremely tough knife. thicker blade and tip than one might think. only downside is the g10 is slick like a 710s, but it is much grippier than the 710 because of the way the handle is designed.

Gerber EZ Out; during most of the time I need a "quick and dirty"; so the old EZ resides in my pocket; certainly have many others; carried a Kershaw AO for some time but kind of got over that; now prefer a non-assisted; have found that it is very rare when I need a knife that opens faster than most of my non-assisted.

Heres the serious rotation, snub nose colt .38 loaded with wad cutters of course the handle is duct taped so the wood handle doesn't split, handful of loose bullets, roll of duct tape, lighter, cholorforum, dirty rag, two cheap mexican switch blades and a straight razor, several airplane size bottlers of misc hard liquors and a bottle of pain pills with someone else's name on the perscription, oh yea my preparid cell phone and a pack of pall mall.

Fallkniven P/3G for EDC. One knife for pretty much every task that comes along for day to day stuff.

This knife will be used until it is used up, or at least until I decide I want to try something different.

Use or abuse, there is no playing favorites with this knife.

For more specific tasks:

I currently have an A1 for use as a camp knife, and an A2 on order to try out around camp. There is an F2 in my tackle box.

I carry only for utility. I don't carry something just because it is pretty or looks cool. If it happens to look good too that's great.

That's why about 98% of the time I have a Spyderco locking folder and a Case slipjoint on me. Usually it's an FRN Spydie like the Salt 1 or a G10 model like the Military.

Form should always follow function. I don't care if it looks like a pile of turds....if it cuts like it needs to.

Every day: Spyderco Tenacious
Extra Tough: Bm 551
Really Tough: Cold Steel Pocket Bushman
Really Really tough: ZT 0500 :p

My Spyderco Delica 4 tackles everything. It exudes confidence because of the blade thickness.

I'm trying to get up the courage to give my Sebbie some hard use. :o

Custom Buck 110 and a Extrema Ratio always serve me well!!!
