What are your Top 5 Knife Brands?

Folders:
(1) Benchmade (McHenry & Williams designs) for EDC
(2) Chris Reeve for suits and collection
(3) Spiderco for unique situations
(4) Victorinox SAK, of course

Fixed:
(5) It's a tie between Dozier and Randall

Most have left-handed or ambi features, including sheaths.

Interesting list - buck seems a little out of place!

Why would it be? All these brands have offerings at the $20 level with nice designs. :D

I'm quite fond of the Buck 284 (Bantam BBW) and 285 (Bantam BLW), the Buck Fluid looks awesome and the upcoming Buck Rival 1 is also a looker.

But if you asked me this question 8 months ago, Enlan would have been #2.

So many and in no particular order: LionSteel, ZT, WH, CRK, Hinderer (I waver), Stride (I waver), CKF, Spyderco (mostly Golden, Taichung, Maniago), Benchmade (I waver), Fantoni, Viper, Fox, ER, Hogue, Guardian Tactical, Kizer, Reate, Todd Begg (mostly Steelcraft), MicroTech, ProTech, Olamic, Opinel, Victorinox, Shirogorov, Spartan.

Most of the lower end Buck's are now made in China so I am not sure why this is surprising...

Nice double post that I am unable to delete so my issue is Bucks are now mostly made in China not the USA...not that is all bad, The Kizer's and Reate's are top notch but the lower end copies are bad.

Tough question but I would say
Zero Tolerance
Cold Steel
We Knives
Spyderco
Benchmade
I think what would be really interesting is a tally of which brands come up the most in this thread

Spyderco, Kershaw/ZT, Cold Steel, Ontario, and Condor.

Sorry, stuff like CRK just doesn't interest me. Not worth the money, and generally speaking, they don't appeal to me aesthetically either. Same for Hinderer, and most other midtechs. Offer me a CRK, or offer me a new Condor machete, the ONLY way the CRK wins is if I'm allowed to sell it after I get it.

Mine as it stands now in no particular order.

Busse (includes kin)
Benchmade
Victorinox
Mora
Fallkniven

It's subject to change as I continue to learn from the great people of this forum and try different brands. Also, I only included current production brands or the old Boulder Westerns and possibly Camillus would have made the list.

top quality - no particular order

Reate
Rike
We Knives
ZT
Spyderco
microtech
hoback
hinderer
strider (cant forget this guy lied to make it into the buisness, but quality knives)
Chris Reeves

good knives but quality concerns ... yes, even benchmade has massive quality issues.
Kizer
benchmade

brands i stay far away from after experiencing junk knives.
boker
crkt
cold steel

All I can do is go with what I know and since I only have a few it would be in no particular order.

Andre Thorburn
Rockstead
William Henry
CRK
