What are your ZT wishes for the Blade Show 2014?

If KAI doesn't release those models by the time Blade Show begins, I'd suggest they reintroduce them so folks don't get the impression that they've forgotten about them. It would be shame to have those models fall off the radar when the new models show up.
It's gonna be ok, they will be out soon. :)

Right. Of course, the Blade Show is coming soon. Only question is, which "soon" will happen first?
bld522, you and I have been through this already. It's coming soon, We don't put shows as markers for when a specific first production run comes out. Why would we rush to do such a thing? I explained in earlier posts about how and why we do what we do with regard to new items, and thought you understood. Is there more explaining needed that I can give you that will assist in your understanding?

Nope. Just trying to get a handle on what you mean by "soon". If it's any help, here's Webster's definition of "soon":

: at a time that is not long from now

: in a short time after something happens

: in a quick way

By the way, I'm not looking for you to agree with the standard definition. It's YOUR definition that counts.

Ahh, the definition of soon. I get what you need now. And while it feels off topic...

Well for us, and I'll speak only for us here. Soon means that we don't give out specific ETA's on release dates. Soon means we're in the assembly stage. This does not mean we are out of the "problem free and ship em" stage, but more the we're "getting much closer than yesterday" stage. Soon is a term we use to describe moving to the last portion of production prior to release. Sometimes assembly can reveal problems which delays soon. Sometimes it's full steam ahead, and very soon the knives will hit the streets. Soon can have a bit of a moving release date to it based on the smoothness of assembly. Soon is a quite complicated and is constantly in motion.

I understand soon, as we live in a soon world regularly. Hopefully this helps with understanding soon for you.

Again, both knives you inquired about will be out soon. :)

It's going to start raining here in another month of so, we call it the mon-soon. Go figure.

As I suspected, your definition of "soon" doesn't incorporate any urgency with respect to time. In that way, it differs materially from the standard meaning of "soon" in which every definition contains an element of urgency (e.g., "not long from now", "short time", "quickly"). So basically what I have to do is remember that when you say "soon", you're using a definition that you made up (e.g., "moving release date", "constantly in motion"). No worries. I'll know how to interpret you from now on and I won't question you again.

Just tell them like Busse does....

Soon is complicated and frustrating, I know. As I've said in our past conversations, no one, and mean no one wants to come to market sooner than we do. There is a ton of urgency for us...it's how we make revenue. :) But soon can't be rushed, and the finished product needs to be right.

I hear you. Thanks for your patience. And thanks as well for not being a "two weeks" kind of guy. Admittedly, "soon" is a lot easier to swallow than that.

48 days from today is a much longer soon to the start of Blade Show. I'd be unpleasantly surprised if 0801CF and 0770CF are not in customers' hands by then. It has already been nearly 11 months since their product announcements and prototypes. For 0888MAX almost two years.

Anyway, I'd like to see a ZT 0550 Mini with 3" blade, thinner scales and thinner blade weighing under 4 ounces. A 0562CF scaled down with a 3" blade and KVT.

Better that than putting it out too soon with issues and having to read all the complaints and other drama of people crying like little girls ..... Especially these days....

But then some still do it anyway.......

Correct, the product needs to be right before hitting the streets. I'll not comment on the other portion of your post...:)

The definition of Kai's "soon" is in it's own definition for me, "Not soon enough!" :shut-up-and-take-my-money.jpg:

I'll add to this my own ZT wishes: More frame locks, more titanium handles, more Elmax, and more carbon fiber. Less Tanto blades and more Spanto blades.
