Ok before Uncle E or any KaBar folks get me, I am strickly asking about blade design!!

I have resently gotten a new boss at work and he is a custom knife maker. For the holidays, he has invited my coworkers and myself to his house tomorrow to build our own knife. Three of us in total. I was thinking of using a Becker inspired blade with my own handle design. I was inspired my the latest custom thread that was started HAWK you sir are an Artist!!! So give me your opinion on what blades you guys like best. Now I was think of building a bushcraft style personally, but open to ideas and thoughts.

I agree with salt. A 1/4" thick, long blade with a drop point. Like a long bk2 or a thicker bk9 with drop point. Or you can just say wth and go for an RBK. :) that is pretty cool though. I am interested to see what you guys come up with.

BK14 with izula II handles....(wished for this for a while)

1/4" thick, 10" long blade, chisel tip, full flat grind. Think of an Ontario SP8 on a becker handle with some tweeks that I think it could use. Notice how I didn't mention a saw back. The saw on the SP8 sucks so just leave it off.

Maybe even more than that I'd want a BK14 with a chisel tip symmetrically ground blade about 3-3.5" long.

I think I'd be curious to an inward curved Tweener or smaller in size (f.e. with an Eskabar handle). Think of a scaled down Kukri. That thing would make fuzzies like crazy.

Warrior, if you could make a rendering?:D

A Brute that works the way we wish it would, or the way it looks like it should - maybe a little thinner in the handle, possibly the handle angled a little more like the Machax, narrower blade towards the handle......Hell, I don't have a clue what would make that thing work better - it just looks like it could be a great knife.

Someone here might shot me but how about a scandi bk16 or a tweener nessmuk knife. I recently got a condor nessmuk and the blade design is great to work with but with the kabar 1095cv steel it would be sooooo much better.

Need all those renderings Warrior and Derek have done. There are probably hundreds of pictures of different renderings of Becker "dream" knives. A lot of them are very cool too. However. I would take a BK15 choiless with no swedge, no jimp, flat/saber ground, much wider blade (almost 1.75-2") at 3/16ths-5/32nds thick... Tapered tang too boot.

I would make a BK16 and a BK17 with a blade half as thick and fully convex. That would be one heck of a slicer combo.

Probably this one, the BK2+ I designed:

Or maybe my BK9-BK2 merge:
