What Books Are You Reading Right Now?

Finished two books this week, totally different. First is the new John Sandford book, "Revenge Prey", another in the series. Good, easy read, I find them entertaining. I put the books on my wish list using Libby for the Ebook and also on hold for rthe hard copy. The book came out in April and I'm several months out for an Ebook but got the hard copy almost immediately.

Second book is "Where Does the Water Go - Life and Death along the Colorado River" by David Owen. The book is far less dramatic than the title, basically tracing the Colorado River from it source to its end in Mexico. I've read a lot of books on water in the West, this is the lightest of them. If you want a decent read on water issues this is OK. It was published in 2017 and a lot has changed, not for the good. If you want the best book on water it's "Cadillac Desert" by Marc Reisner, written in 1986 it's prophetic, a great read.

The Real Anthony Fauci, by RFK Jr.

Bought it awhile back, just getting around to reading it.

"Paradox" is the second in the Cash-Colcord series by Doug Preston with his daughter. It's a fun adventure; they really stretche reality. This the sequel to "Extinction" so that's to be expected. For those that are Pendergast fans there is book out this year, "Pendergast- The Beginning", I have it on my wish list at the library.

Got three going at the moment...the first one just won the Pulitzer, and both it and the second book are outside of my general reading realms...but seemed interesting from reviews...and the writing is quite good.

The compilation of short stories is very hit and miss, thus far. And I can't really recommend, though I understand there are still some gems to come.
