What Buck are you carrying today?

This an interesting 110 because its blade is black and is mirror finished.

I have just become interested in the older 110’s. After reading about them, I decided to look for a three dot. From what I understand, it was the first 110 to have a Bos heat treat, and the last variation to have non-rounded edges. Also, I read somewhere that it was the first to have a pivot bushing. Does anyone know about that? Was it the first and did Buck continue to use a pivot bushing?

After a search, I was able to find this one which I like very much, especially the grain pattern on the Ebony. Today, I mailed it to Buck for a Spa treatment and blade tightening/centering. I have read that they do a good job. Do y’all agree? The price is certainly fair enough. I asked them to not sharpen the blade, because it is in exceptional shape. I asked them to just touch it up on a ceramic stone if they felt it was necessary.
