I love super steels as much as the next guy, but there is something to be said about a little simpler steel like Buck's 420hc. It holds up well enough for most jobs, but when you dull it up using it for something like a gasket scraper you can touch it up to shaving sharp again really fast. And these 110/112 slim selects are the best sub $30 knives available in my opinion. Catch them on sale they are less than $20 each. Crazy value.:D People can push the Chinese stuff all day long, but I'll stick to USA made as much as I can.

Had one of my Buck 303 Cadet Medium Stockman pocketknives with me the last three days (on vacation). So far it has cut everything I needed to cut, but there’s a Buck 110, Buck 118, and Buck 121 in the truck if I need one. OH

I have said it over and over thru the years and I still believe that the 303 is the best all around pocket knife ever made. Some like a bigger knife and some like a fancier knife but if a fella was to just want a plain jane utility everyday knife pocket knife the 303 leaves real big shoes to fill. And as a matter of fact in my pocket now. View attachment 1341278
