What Buck are you carrying today?

Just the little one today.

Looks like this might be my main summertime knife. The pockets on my shorts aren't as deep as on my jeans or khakis so I feel better having the pocket clip. It doesn't hurt that these are super light.

I have said it over and over thru the years and I still believe that the 303 is the best all around pocket knife ever made. Some like a bigger knife and some like a fancier knife but if a fella was to just want a plain jane utility everyday knife pocket knife the 303 leaves real big shoes to fill. And as a matter of fact in my pocket now. View attachment 1341278
I really do love the Buck 303.
But "best all around pocket knife ever"...
I have to disagree.
There are several Victorinox SAKs that I think are better.

Of course you do because they probably are for you. I have lived my 55 years with a stockman of one size or another in my pocket for 45 of them and have never once wished my knife had scissors, tweezers or a toothpick. Now of course that’s just me and my life. I’m sure there are many many people that think the stockman is an obsolete old mans knife, hell the truth is they are probable right.
I think the saks are great little knives and have been gifted a few thru the years but they are just not for me, however I completely understand how they are the perfect knife for others.

Second time I've carried the Sprint. Carried it in the left tool pocket on a pair of Carhartt's (phone was in the right tool pocket). Hasn't opened on its own yet, so that's good
Cut a sandwich in half. It excelled at that :thumbsup:
I'm starting to like this knife.

On my fifth day of carrying this Buck 303 exclusively; it has cut meat, cut sandwiches, cut monofilament, cut open packages, etc., over the last few days - nothing asked of it that it cannot do. I find a Medium Stockman of 3-3/8” to 3-9/16” to be the perfect size pocketknife and the perfect pattern for me - I could get along with one of these indefinitely (if I wasn’t a KNIFE KNUT!). As an aside, today was my oldest daughters 35th birthday and I gave her my knife to open a package - I asked, ‘where is the knife I gave you when you were a Girl Scout’ - she replied it was in her purse where it always is, she doesn’t go hardly anywhere without it - a Swiss Buck SAK style I bought her 20 years ago - did my job well! OH

Yes you did well!

I couldn’t agree more on the med stockman. I admit I would love a 3 3/8 - 3 1/2 inch Buck 303...maybe the 304! The only reason I reach for the 301 to take to work a lot of days is the very nice sized sheep’s foot. It makes quick work out of sharpening pencils and stripping wire. But honestly at 3 7/8 it really is much more knife then I ever need.
I’ve actually ask Jim Dunlap if he would be interested in making me a 3.5 inch stockman and he has agreed to so I’m on his list. It could be the knife that finally kicks the 303 and 301 from my pocket after 45 years...but I’ll never stop hoarding them!

This one is semi retired. Not the most expensive, but it was a gift from my grandfather. Decided to throw it on the belt because today my wife is going to be induced, and wanted something a little special.

In my opinion these were some of the best 112 and 110 that buck has made, its a real shame they discontinued them so quickly. This example was actually really sloppy, but at the time I didn't know any better. On one side the paperstone scale wasn't even rounded off, just left at a 90 degree square.
