What Buck are you carrying today?

Carrying another brand of pocketknife today in my LFP. However, my watch pocket knife is this little Buck gentleman’s knife - flattest high-quality pocketknife I own. These penknife size knives have a real size blade to be useful. OH

Buck, please go back to flat grind on your traditionals, the way they're meant to be.
I love flat grind knives. Especially ones made in the USA...... hint hint.
At least make it an option in the custom shop.

I couldn’t agree more. The last made by Buck I carried was a late 80’s 303. I think I lost it in 2004 and when I went after a new one it had not only the edge 2000 grinds but the sheep’s foot was on the wrong side! That’s when I started my hunt for one of the “ old style” ones I was gifted at 10 years old. I’ve never gone back and at this point I am sure unless they bring back the flat grinds and put the sheep’s back where it goes I never will.

2014 Walmart SFO 371 barehead stockman with black 'n blue G10 covers. (The black 'n blue ain't bruises from being beat up by some bully.)
2014 389 canoe with walnut(?) Dymawood(?) (sp?) Dynawood(?) (sp) covers.

I haven't carried them for a bit, so I'll use them for this weeks EDC. :)

Those have got to be some old, old Craftsman sockets and wrench’s. I have some I bought 35 or so years ago, but I think they are babies compared to yours!

Just received a jig bone 501 in S30V from the Buck Custom Shop. Really liking it, great fit and finish.

That is some fine bone jigging in your knife - very, very nice!

J JD Bear - nice 501 partner, nice wood grain in the handles. OH

Started the day with an old standby 303. Went to the supply house around 9 for material and the kid at the counter asked his coworker for a knife to cut the wrap from a pallet my parts were on. Co worker didn’t have one, I offered him my 303 and he went back to the dock. Came back with my parts and said what a great pocket knife it was and he should really get one since he is always asking someone for one. Needless to say I left without my 303. Stopped by the house on the way back to the site for a knife and low and behold this old girl wanted to ride along. I guess retirement is not what this knife is was made for!View attachment 1349610
