What Buck are you carrying today?

JB the best gift Buck could give me is to offer any of the super steels (but especially S45VN!!) in a drop point in the regular Custom Shop. By far my favorite blade profile I just think it would give the 112 a real boost in sales. If fact if a customer is willing to pay well over $100.00 to have one made his/her way why not? At the last Blade Show I asked CJ to just drop a box of DP's off at the Custom shop three times lol! Now that its so easy to make changes to the website they SHOULD! Even if it's just 'why supplies last' or something to that effect. I can see that a super steel DP might be a little problem for inventory but just plain old 420?? As far as what price might be worth it for Buck to give us the opportunity I am ABSOLUTELY ready to pay a $25.00 upcharge for 420 and add $10.00 for mirror polish! And if the bean counters would let me pay $50.00 yes fifty bucks for a S45VN drop point! I can see why Buck would not want to make a run of 500 or 1,000 very expensive 112's with a odd configuration like a super steel DP and take the chance it would be a slow seller but just to have a run of premium steel blades just for the Custom shop..No downside! Buck could have very easily had a additional 250 S45VN blades they used for the Koa BOTM dropped off at the Custom shop..And the same with the run of S35VN drop point blades from a few years ago..

can't tell from the pic but do you use a flouro leader or straight braid?
I was just getting ready to re-tie the mono leader back on - it had snapped right at the knot (I was able to get my lure back), Funny thing, knot and braid in perfect condition, neither showing any signs of abrasion. Real head scratcher, and it did it again this evening (lost a lure this time). Going to replace it with another brand and weight of mono tomorrow. Now you got more than you wanted out of that answer! OH
