Got a new stick stove and backpacking pot. It works well as an alternative fuel stove. 25 minutes from ignition to hot ramen. I usually use 2 tiny propane bottle stoves, so this stove is a more conveniant size for the 2qt pot I purchased. Previously cooking individual meals in 2 30oz cup/pots or a larger meal between the 2. Made for some really crappy textured food after a few days out. Believe it or not this setup will be a comfort compared to that. Being able to spring for the titanium for both stove and pot, it may even decrease the weight of my pack, but haven't scaled it out yet. I'll probably also grab a larger bottle stove for the much larger pot. Between the froe 112 and ferro stick, getting a quick fire was no issue, even after 2 days of rain.

I use a MSR Pocket Rocket. Don’t do as much trail cooking as I used to though.😞
John 😁

My bottle stoves are cheap imitations ò the pocket rocket. Not as nice quality as MSR, but I bought mine from the rich book guy for $14 and they're still kicking 10 years later. I have 2 and the igniter still works on 1. Have to Bic the other. Love my MSR snow shoes that I've had forever...

I use my twig stoves frequently, sometimes just to have a little fire. They make great mini fire pits. I suppose that's essentially what they are. One of my favorites is the one I made from a stainless steel kitchen utensil holder:
