What Buck are you carrying today?

I'd love a special version 55 also Tim! I missed out on the BOTM a few months back, in June I believe. It had 154 CM, Ironwood and a nice pewter shield. I blew it! Here's hoping for another one soon...
I missed that June BOTM also. Maybe BCCI can do a version for an end of year sale. A bare head 'Larrin' like the 501 would be nice, though wood scales may be slimmer in the pocket than the elk.

Nice looking trio. Reminds me the 55 is still on my list to get; keep hoping for a special version of that to be released (with time enough for me to get one).

Just an FYI, C&C has a special edition 55 available. Marbled carbon fiber scales, NS, S30V. I love mine, will post a photo later.

M Midnight Rider Thanks for the photos. That 55 is a pretty one. I'm looking forward to getting mine (after I return from traveling). No worries about the abbreviation; I have decent Google Fu. I was surprised by the other interesting Bucks they had. It made me glad I ordered before looking at the others. 😂

same one I carry on my belt daily since it came out......

Do you notice a big difference in that blade steels ability to perform?

The only Magnacut I have is the Larrin, and I really don't carry little knives much.

Just curious what you think of the Magnacut....
Do you really think it's worth the premium price?
Thanks!

it seems to hold a sharp edge a long time and is very easy to get back to super sharp fast, even on ceramics. I haven't tested it in anyway for toughness, so relying on specs and testing done by cpm for that.

I have a case marilla magnacut I've pushed bout a year ago to package and cardboard cut up and opening use. it's performed very well, so far. I have other brands in magnacut and they've all done well also. so far I like it more than s30v when it came out all hyped up.....and i would pay an upgrade fee for magnacut over 420hc. I dont hate 420hc its a good stainless steel. very tough, good corrosion resistance and easy to keep sharp. im still grabbing my magnacut over it.

Yours gets the same thread stitch pattern on the bolster like mine does. I haven’t used mine much yet but I’m planning to.
yeah they all do that if worn and carried in the sheath....I dont care about polishing it off.....I've learned to love the brown brass color. Hickory pointing it out as preferred to the polished gold coloring way back and I've come to learn to like it too......

That's the same as me. I have been carrying this one almost everyday since they came out.
