Koa. It's a hardwood native to Hawaii. What are the scales made of on this one ?
Yeah. Different lighting makes it look completely different. pjsjr posted four or five pics earlier in the "What 112 to get now" thread, (I think) and shows the differences lighting makes. They look different in this picture than the others you’ve posted. The Koa looks fantastic!
That’s a great tribute to your grandpa. You might try asking a jeweler to engrave it.Another new + old sentimental carry for me today. Fairly new 112 slim select and I tookMT_Pokt 's advice and made a new little badge out of sterling silver for my Grandpa's 305. Finished it out nicely. Now I'll have figure out how to get his initials on it. Both are in my pockets today.

That was my thought too. We have a few in our area that could do it. Every time I carry it, I'm amazed how tiny it is. But my usual "small" knives are large stockman's like a 301 or a large trapper. I've found the 305 is handy for small jobs like cleaning your fingernails better. That’s a great tribute to your grandpa. You might try asking a jeweler to engrave it.
Glad you got out to a live concert with your son in law. 7 Bridges really put on a good show, we sure enjoyed it. My ears (which ring all the time from tinnitus) have been at warp level from the volume, but have finally settled down now - I’d go again, it was that good to me. OHOld Hunter I seen the 7 Bridges tribute band 2 weeks ago in Inverness Florida and your right.. Great gig! My son in law took me. First time I've seen any live music since KathyJo passed..
That Buck has a few stories to tell…
