I went to carry that exact same knife as a second today but I have got to replace that clip already. It's just killing me to spend as much on the clip as the knife. But it's a good knife and deserves to be carried.

Isn't the clip $5 from Buck?

from the Buck website:
  • Email us at warranty@buckknives.com with your name, address, and phone number, as well as the knife’s 3-digit model number and, if we have clips on hand, we will send you a replacement. A $5 shipping charge will apply for domestic customers. International customers will be charged for actual shipping.
Despite Buck's directions, I'd include not just the model number, but that it is a Slim Select as well. Calling would likely be faster.

It's the personal desire to swap out the factory clip for a more "typical" clip. The wide clip with the anvil logo is too short and tight for my taste. Feels like a Cold Steel clip if you get what I'm saying.

I usually prefer the big, fat, comfortable handles of the standard 112s, but I have two of the Slim Selects, and love them. <$30, under 3 oz, made in USA, and guaranteed for life.......what's not to like!
 
This Slim Heritage is probably the best 112, just proportionally speaking.

I like the regular 110, perfect sheath knife, but never found myself carrying a 112 in a sheath, and "regular" ones usually ended up as a pocket anchor.

I think I might thin the heard with some of the 112"s I have.

I found that the regular three hole Spyderco clips fit these (the two outside holes). I bought a few cheap deep carry ones on ebay or wherever for my Slim selects. It makes them 100x better.

If that's the case then I'm going to feel very silly when I get home and I already have one setting in a parts box.

Keep us in mind if you reduce the herd. I am not looking for anything right now but we can have fun looking at them in the exchange.👍

I never thought of a longer Spyderco clip.

For field use, I also prefer the fat handles of my 112 Sport Pro. The Slim is for "about the house, around the yard, and EDC" Light knife for light use cases, when I just don't feel like my Spitfire
 
Today it’s the 112 sport pro, I like the full size handle and it’s lightweight. The s35vn blade is awesome and gets the job done! Easy carry with pocket clip and hardly know it’s there. Tough and rugged workhorse in a more compact size than the 110 which I love for outdoor use. If I go to town I switch to the large vantage pro which I also love. Some days it’s hard to choose between them. 😆
 
Turned out the Spyderco clip I thought I had was clearly a BM style clip and it was too wide by maybe 1 mm. But the RAT II clip I ended up not using was a PERFECT FIT!!!!!!

For me at least this brings new life to this knife and will finally be carried again. Doing some other clip swapping for now...

Correction. I said ZT 0350 but as you can clearly see right next to it the RAT II with the brand new clip that is identical. I really need to catch up on sleep tonight. Brain no braining good.
