Another early one is on its way, circa early 1963. A 102 that shows some use but is overall in decent shape.
I've been toying with the idea of another Saunter. At that price, it's an absolute steal for an amazing knife. Not sure why it never caught on!

It was going to be just the 112 but I saw the Saunter and did the math with the extra 20% off and it was a no brainer.

On its way to me from the Bay. Buck 751 Approach, BNIB. Picked up for a very reasonable price. So good it will likely mess up anyone doing, "What does a 751sell for BNIB?" for a while

My box showed up today. The 112 slim pro TRX is a real turd I’m sorry to say. I had a green one and it was perfect. My brother has it now. I always wanted another and it was hard to pass on that sale price. It has the worst edge I’ve ever seen and it’s got to be 3/16” shorter on the blade. Disappointed to say the least. I’ll call them tomorrow.
On the other hand the Saunter is perfect in every way. It looks like a great little carry blade. .

That's a winner! The oak grain is nice and the brushed bolsters is a great new option. A 110 in oak & Magnacut was my first CS order.
Now take it out & get it dirty.

Another old 102. From the photos it appears to be a ~1964 flat pommel pinned version. The only ones I'm now missing from that period are threaded pommel (pre barrel nut) and fiber melamine. Those won't be easy to find.

I've been using Buck 110s for fifty years, but somehow never discovered the 112 until a couple years ago, and I've been carrying one almost every day since. I have a whole bunch of nice knives, but the 112 just works well for me.
