What Buck Do You Have on Order? Or in the Mail?

Thanks! I agree about the nail nick. Did that get added when they went to S35VN for the blade steel? I ordered some when they were S30v and they did not have it.

I am not really sure when it changed. I called Buck in late December to inquire and was told there were no options sans nail nick regardless of steel. Seems like a policy rather than a reality.

I do spend more time than I should on mornings when I'm wearing pants with a 5th pocket, trying to decide between the 503 or the 055. Recently, I've end up a lot of the time, with the Range Mini Pro.
Nice options to have, can't make a wrong decision!

This had been on eBay for quite a while, so I made the seller an offer and they accepted it. It is a 525, BNIB, made for the opening of a new Cabelas Store in Texas in 2005. It is listed on the 2005 Special Projects list. Not 'rare" with 3,000 made, but unusual and I have a fondness for all the models with the now discontinued 1 & 7/8th inch blades. (425, 505, 525, 526, 527, 529, etc.)

There were several drop point 110's sold by DLT that they ordered without nail nicks.

I couldn't resist and pulled the trigger on a Custom Knife Shop 119! I was hoping to see what the April BOTM was before ordering, but the 15% coupon is expiring tonight. This ensures that the BOTM will be a must-have for me. (At least I did not also get the 124 CKS that was sitting in my cart for a while.)

I've built that exact knife on the website many times. Great choice, you'll have to post a pic when you get it.

Assuming these have arrived, what do you think of them?
I ended up buying all 5 English scrip knives. some new and unused, a couple very lightly carried. I got 4 of the in hand, but the 701, the one I wanted most, has been in the hands of the post office for 14 days, and just moving from post office to post office from NY to NH to CT to MA. I filed for a missing package, and it got to a post office 7 miles from me, then went back to MA. last night. So far it's made 18 locations in 2 weeks. I'll post up a picture of the 4 I have later. But over all, They're a surprisingly well made little knife. It's a fun little collection and I'm glad I have them.

A mid-50s Group 9 lignum vitae 102 is in the mail (top photo). The seller says the blade length is 3 3/4".

My mid 50s long 102 (nearly 4.5") is shown in the lower photo. I'll post a size comparison photo when the new one arrives.

The variation in these old knives is substantial even within the same model number.

I just picked this up for cheap. If I'm reading the information correctly, looks like 1971ish? Any idea if the sheath is from that era as well?

It's been used hard and put up wet, so it will probably go back to Buck for a spa visit. I doubt they'll be able to do much about where the back of the blade was hammered, but can probably make it much better.

Nice find, it should clean up well. Aren't inverted 3 liners dated to 1972?
