What Buck Knives do you intend to obtain in 2026?

I'd like to think I will be able to obtain a Buck with a 5160 blade, but it's not the latest buzz so it's extremely unlikely that they'll release anything in 5160 or that it'll even be something I want if they do.

I recommend that you email Copper and Clad and ask what they might have hiding on the shelves that isn’t on their website. That’s how I got this 5160 oak 112 from them this past year.

My plans for nostalgia went awry. I guess another bidder wanted it more... As such, I changed course and ordered a 110 Magnacut from the Custom Shop last night. Nothing fancy (MC/ebony/polished brass/rivets/grooves), just the classic stuff, which is what I was after. I know someday I'd kick myself if I didn't while I could, and the prices (relative to other brands I like) are too good to pass up for a custom build.

According to the USPS notification email, I plan for my BCCI 501 to arrive today. Though arriving in 2026, it was ordered in 2025; not sure if that counts for this thread. As for ordering a new Buck in 2026, I don't have a plan for that yet. I don't collect just to collect. So, I will need to wait to see what gets announced that I might want as a user combined with what the budget may allow when it happens. It could be another BCCI model or perhaps a BOTM or sprint release. I do wonder if I would like using something with finger grooves; haven't tried that yet.

It's hard to beat that.

This is good advice! A few months ago, Culprit99 Culprit99 was showing off his new 112 and told everyone who'd listen how he got it. Sure glad I listened. This has been in my back pocket nearly every day since arrival.

I'm trying to not think about getting any more Bucks. Yes, I know . . . blasphemy. The last Bucks I acquired were the Magnacut sprint run 110 and 112 on 1/10 and 1/12 of last year. I was compelled by some odd sense of loyalty to present the 112 to my brother (he loves it, probably more than I did or do its matching 110 I kept), so technically I only got the 110.

I seem to have developed in insidious Kizer small fixed blade habit. Well, that and my former Civivi habit that I thought I kicked just shifted to a Sencut habit. I'm hooked on reasonably priced, high quality Chinesium. I'm ashamed, but it's clear that I'm not stopping any time soon. Oh, the humanity!

Something really special would have to motivate me to get a new Buck, at least for the foreseeable future. An upsized 110 or 112 with a 4" or 4.25" or longer blade would probably do it, but I don't see that happening (ever).

Of course, if I win crazy big lottery money, it's game time. I'll have one of everything they can make from a 110 from the custom shop.

I'm liable to bite on something with "TRX" in the name this year, depending on what comes up. Probably the 112.
Am casually hunting a Marksman. Not seriously enough to pay flipper's prices, though.
A new Range could come into my life, but in Magnacut it's hard to justify how much more Buck wants than Kershaw for pret'near the same knife.
And I've had my eye on a 120 for a long time just because I don't have one, but it doesn't have to happen this year.

Like others, I have been messing around in the online Buck Custom Shop the last few months. Bouncing between a custom 112 or a 501. I already have both and absolutely have no need for either one, but getting something in Elk Stag has been whispering in my ear for months. I counted the pennies in my coffee can and maybe, just maybe I'll finally push the button on one this spring.

I spent WAY too much money on knives last year. The new knives are nice, but frankly, I enjoy hunting for older knives at the estate sales. This past year I found an NRA 113 in fabulous condition for $6. I also obtained my dad's 118 from 1973 which I promptly sent out for a Spa treatment. My Grail is finding a 914. If Buck brings one of those out I'm a goner. Happy New Year everyone.

I've bought a lot of knives the past couple of years, especially Bucks.

I'm holding out for the slim 112 version of the 110 Stealth run that was done.

And maybe outside of something cool like a micarta Range series or something, I'm going to try to keep some restraint.
