What Buck Knives do you intend to obtain in 2026?

So far no knives at all for me in 2026. A no-knife January, if you will. With me, it seems like when it rains, it pours. I'll buy a BOTM and then BAM, there is a Stealth release and I find a vintage must-have Buck. (Plus, I'm sure I just jinxed myself.)

I looked back and was surprised that (unintentionally) I took the whole year of 2025 off from ordering anything from Idaho Falls. My last purchase was in November of 2024. I seem to be making up for lost time now in 2026. I started last week by ordering a 663 Alpha Guide Elite. I've been eying that since they came out. And then this morning my wife asked what I wanted for Valentines and I mentioned a 124 I saw was back in stock. So she had me order it. I saw too the Paklite set (635/631) was on as a web special and then I added a 664 Hunter Select because it was cheap and was curious about the size. I might have to get my son in law a Pro for his birthday if I like it.

Now I need to pace myself for the next few months. I will have enough to work with for a while.

I’ve been checking out the custom shops offerings for the 110 and the 112. Probably going to order one or the other soon. Decisions, decisions. I have several 110’s and only 1 112. Hmm. I’ve narrowed down the handle choices to 4. Probably go with s35vn blade steel but clip point or drop point, I can’t decide.

With or without finger grooves, rivets for sure. Pretty rough choosing with so many cool options. Honestly I need another 110 like I need a hole in my head. Maybe I should go with a 112. With or without finger grooves….

Maybe this will help. Two CKS 112s.
On the Left: Blue Dymawood Handle, Finger Grooves, Nickel Silver Bolsters, Silver Rivets, S35VN Drop Point Blade
On the Right: Natural Micarta Handle, Finger Grooves, Brushed Brass Bolsters, Brass Rivets, Magnacut Clip Point Blade

You might note that the depth of the finger grooves can and does vary slightly between knife makers. The thumb stud on the blue one is after market,

I'm also debating picking up the S35VN Paklites that have just been discontinued ... I have the full set in 420HC, but the closeout pricing on the S35VN variants is tempting ...
The S35VN set was what I ordered. It's quite a deal with the BCCI discount. I've wanted to try them for a long time and was disappointed to see them being discontinued. But glad I'm getting in on them in the end.

I broke down and used my BCCI discount to buy the S35VN Paklites. Not sure if I will sell my 420HC set or keep them as "beaters."
