What Busse's are you using this weekend?

Nice thread Zmbhntr!

I had these out with me this evening, the weather was great here in central Indiana too, despite being forcast for rain. The spring peepers are in full song, it was a very enjoyable evening with the family.

those are some awesome looking sheaths. I really like the one on the HG.

Using my BGASH and CGFBM today...

I'll probably be using either my INFImandu of SWATmandu.

Great photos Cricket Dave. Question: did you beat a chunk of gray coating off that Team Gemini already? That's a TGLB, correct?

Although it could be any of these depends on my mood in the morning and what I'm doing that day

Going to test a new portable wood stove I got a couple weeks ago. My brother and I are going to build a "hunter's shack" on my property this summer and I bought this stove to put in there for heat, so I want to see what it can do in the backyard first. Had the ASH 2 out batoning firewood to size prepping for the wood stove.

I had it out a couple days ago helping with a new fire technique and burning a pile of forsythia branches my wife pruned. Really liking the ASH 2 as a good camping knife. Think I'll be stripping it later this afternoon.

Kruiser those look awesome! Is the AK stripped?

I decided to play with the big boys this afternoon, specifically the CGFBM, NMFBM, and MOAB. I had some leftover 1x6 pressure treated decking that I wanted to do some chop chop on, because I knew that the wood is so consistent I would really be able to tell the differences in the chopping power of the knives. I started with the CGFBM and it did great. I have played around with that blade quite a bit in the woods and it feels at home in my hand. The next up was the NMFBM, which was a recent acquisition on the exchange. It performed amazingly! The chopping was definitely superior to the CGGFM, but they both performed great and were in the same league. Next up was the MOAB. Oh my Damn!!!!! I'm in love with this thing! The bite is deep and effortless (if you can call swinging about 3 pounds of INFI effortless), it just chews the wood up unlike any other knife I have every used. I probably chopped through the 1x6 decking 4-5 times each with the CGFBM and NMFBM, but I couldn't put the MOAB down. I probably chopped through about two dozen times with the MOAB. I'm actually pretty much in awe of it. Of course now that I have stopped I realize how tired my hand and forearm are. If I keep this up I'll be looking like Popeye.

Long story short, if you are on the fence, go and get yourself a MOAB! Here are a couple pics I snapped with my phone.

That's a pretty awesome way to shave Timmy!

That's a pretty awesome way to shave Timmy!

It's been a while since I had anything resembling a close shave. It's getting nice here in Minnesota, so I said, DO EET!. ONE RECOMMENDATION. Have lots of toilet paper squares ready for when you learn how not to shave your goatee area.

I swear the guy who invented he goatee was just to big a coward to go in here with something sharp.

Anyhow, saves tons of money for razors. Now I can buy blades instead. :)

It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon and I ended up with the tgbg green and black in my creek.

Hey Cricket Dave & the rest of yall!
Thanks to you Dave, I've been trying not to cut myself with the ASH-1
I was so fortunate to buy from you!
You got a nice area bud!!
I've got 4.5 acres, but no creek. More like a slough than a pond.
But way better than sidewalks!
While I'm here...
Can you tell me exactly which version of ASH-1 I got from you?
It seems .250" but I'm not sure if it's .220 prior to coating...
I just want to make sure if I order some leather I get the correct sheath.
It may just be my edc while I'm riding around...
Enjoy the rest of the weekend... What the hell enjoy every weekend!!
