What Combo TG-M you goin' for ?

I went blue and tan and muddy and green (micarta as always). The blue and tan is an experiment - I never thought I would ever in my life buy a blue-coated knife, and with $60 discount it has loosened me up a little bit. I am thinking it will look really cool and be the first and last blue blade I ever order.

might just be the lighting but all the red/black on black I always see looks more brown than red.. I'm not sure on hammered silver myself I'm sure it isn't but it just LOOKS really rough and sandy with the 2 tones of silver

I have had a few. It is a maroon not red. I would not be into it at all if it was straight up red. Same color as the military airborn maroon.
Seems there are not many of these getting ordered in G10. I came very close to going with black G10 and desert bronze.

I have 2 511s in hammered silver.

I'm pretty meh on it, frankly.

It's slicker than the typical coating (the look is quite deceiving), so it probably slides through softer media better than the crinkle coat stuff.....but I also feel like it is thicker than the typical coating.

It's one of those things that I thought I'd like more than I really do. But those 511s will eventually be stripped...at least one will (my user blades get stripped, my "in waiting blades" keep their coating so I don't have to do much maintaince on them.

It has come to my attention that the infi dog father is the same blade as the TGMA2. I am now rethinking the swedge.

It would be kewl if one of you hogs did a magical side bye side.

Do you mean the dog soldier? Because I don't I have a TGM, but I do have a TG......all I can do is compare blade styles between the two.

The DS and the TG blade shape is very similar. The main difference is the handle and absence of guards. Getting the DS has made me consider riding the top guard off of my TG to make it a better all around knife.
