What covers would you like to see from GEC?

IMO - (not SFO) Northfield #77 Clip & Clip/pen, artifact ivory, worm bone, prim bone, burl...

Wenge, Impala horn as I mentioned I the other thread, and rams horn like canal street cutlery did for A G Russell early on( they had a gunstock or reverse gunstock 2 blade with gold coined shield I still regret not buying 15 yrs or so later). I'd prolly want them to use the side grain of the wenge which if you've never seen or handled is simply amazing-alternating light an dark growth rings that are tight tight tight! $.02
Thanks, Neal
Ps I know I'll think of more as soon as I post...🙄
Pps I know about the wenge 'cause I really like to turn it-really really dense, might even sink in water

I've never really loved GECs version of peachseed. Schrade Peachseed would be awesome.

Corn cob hasn't been done by GEC.
Ivory Micarta would be sweet.
I really liked that jigging on some of the Charlows.

Now that there is an elephant ivory ban, I would like to see some substitutes like warthog ivory.

I'd love to see the beaver pond bone come back... I have a gorgeous 73 done in it, but since I don't like the pattern much, it's a waste... Never get to carry that great bone... But if it came back on their stockman, or a Jack, or the smaller patterns..

Ram's Horn bark and smooth interior was used to great effect by GEC in the early days. Some more please, common on European knives, Blonde is particularly nice.

Corn Cob or Peach Seed but in a light toffee colour not some dull brown.

Some Winterbottom like Queen used to do, great stuff:thumbup:

Zebrawood can be really attractive.

More acrylics that look like Old School Cell (without the obnoxious aspects )

I've mused about Ivory Bone Saw Cut before, think how that could age! I'll muse again...

Butterscotch Micarta

Bradford Greenbone

That'll do :D

Thanks, Will

All kinds of funky looking wood would be nice. Red cedar is kind of exotic looking, but actually very common.

I love that idea! I'd be all over that.

Since we're talking funky wood, how about some desert ironwood dark/light sapwood transitions? I always liked the way that looks.

I would like to see GEC do less jigged bone and more saw cut and smooth bone. I think the look and feel of saw cut is just plain awesome.

Absolutely Brother! :) Butter & Molasses too and some of that green stuff that looks like tree rings, kool:D

A repeat of their very early Dead Skunk (more cream colour than the later) and that Pumpkin Patch I missed out on would be great too.

Thanks, Will
