What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Oh thank goodness that's a chick! :D I'm no longer disturbed

Just messin' man. Nice new blade but uhhhh... The sharp end goes away from you.

Hahaha I just have this curse that every time I get a new blade it always leaves its mark on me so I knew as soon as i got it out of the box I was in for some blood today. I was just glad it wasn't as bad as some of the previous incidents....

We should start a club.

if by today you may mean yesterday then yesterday i used it for fire craft and pointy stick making. 7 rules everything around me/ keep it sharp / chop chop the wood yall.

If by today, you mean almost today, as in last night very late before turning in, then yes. This is what I did 'today'.

The blade coating only wore off the very tip from standing it up in my chopping block for a Blade Forum pic, but with enough kitchen carnage, I think I can wear it down!

C-bowie rules everything around me. I love the Wu-Tang reference!

Put an awesome lanyard on my magnum camp this morning. Pics to follow. Still need to name her, will probably do that later.

Made a fire with many of my Beckers, a BRKT Bravo 1 and a Mora Robust. Temp already down to about 45°F, perfectly clear. Just beautiful. And I have one of those fire "tables", so my legs go underneath and stay warm. It's quite pleasant.

Cord wrapped my BK11 and added a simple lanyard to it, May change it but I like it so far. Also finished the lanyard I started on my 5 the other day. Got a decent pic of both stabbed into a tree.

Based on the reviews and pics here, I got a new Emberlit today. (A late Father's Day present to myself. :D )

Put it together. Got together the supplies. Pulled out the 16 and the basically unused 10 for backup. Put some squeezable Carmex on a cottonball.

Threw a few sparks and viola! Fire. Started throwing little sticks on from around the yard and the fire started getting real.

Put a pot of water on to boil...

A few minutes later, tea!

Pretty cool little stove.

I finally decided to actually use the BK9 instead of leaving it in the throne room. This was actually yesterday, but I was tired last night since I also mowed 3/4 acre of yard and about 1/2 mile of fence line in the pasture.

Some may remember my pictures of the 4'X8' cedar raised bed planter that my son and I built for my wife.

It is now overflowing with tomatoes and carrots. The four tomato plants (one in each corner) are too heavy for the cages, so they needed some more stakes to hold them upright. The jungle growing in the middle is all carrots, plus a few marigolds to keep away pests. You can see the cages on the right are at about a 45 degree angle.

I only have the one shot of the BK9...I thought my wife was taking a few more while I was working, but I was mistaken. I may get motivated and take a picture of the end result later today after church. We shall see... The coating on the 9 does not look so new now; I used it to cut some stakes from the stuff in the brush pile.
