I believe American Fork and Hoe bought out Kelly in the 30s, and renamed their axe line to True Temper somewhere around 1949, and sold the Kelly name in the eighties, so somewhere between then!

They are decent hatchets. Better than average steel and thin bits. Don't really have a high centerline but they do have the beveled cheeks. A unique design. I would think the bushcrafters would really like them.
Smith357, I really like what you are doing there. What kind of dye are you using? I see you sealed the around the head also. something I really believe in, what did you seal it with? Despite its wall hanger status it looks to be field ready. Really good job.
