  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What did you use your Becker for today

Neighbor and I took the boys camping by a pond. Used the 11 to cut rope to make a tripod and also to cut bank line for jug fishing. We had great weather and managed 3 catfish in the 4 pound range that made for some awesome catfish nuggets.

Not today, but yesterday I used my 14 to cut myself free from a ratchet strap some asshat left on a canoe I was trying to "rescue". Instinctively I reached for my pocket knife, but it wasn't there(I never wear it on the river) I did remember my Esky was clipped to my belt loop though. I quickly cut the strap, freeing me from the canoe and log jam . Then helped a buddy drain and roll the mostly submerged canoe. It was a pretty bad spot. 2 canoes created a jam that also caused me to flip my kayak. All is well, I temporarily lost my ESEE5 as well. After everything was cleared out I dove down a couple times and retrieved the 5. Great day on the river!

My becker was used to make a friend buy a becker. boo yah

(btw not at knife point)

Made a little fire in the back yard (in the grill because of the burn ban) and cooked a little grub in my GSI kettle. I love that I can just plop it directly on the wood coals. Yum Yum.

I decided to use my BK5 to make a fire in the back to roast some 'smos' :D

Since the birds still aren't awake yet here the only thing I've done with a Becker today is to unsheath it to admire its awesomeness; BK5 :D

OK. I have several sharp cutting tools waiting to bite wood. I'll get the camera out today and have at r'.

Used my stainless screw BK2 to blow apart some deadwood for the fire tonight. I'm telling you, my sweaty mitts combined with this heat and humidity= murder on stock screws. My BK11 looks like a red-eyed vampire handle mall ninja special.
